I was expecting just another generic rental in Baku’s tourist zone, but this place actually feels like someone’s carefully curated home that happens to welcome guests. It’s tucked right in the heart of Sabayil – and I mean really in the heart of it, practically next door to some fantastic local eateries (the Deluxe Restaurant downstairs is honestly a stroke of luck if you’re too jet-lagged to venture far your first night).

The apartment itself has this lived-in elegance that’s hard to fake. The owners clearly know what travelers actually need – there’s proper counter space in the kitchen (you’d be surprised how many places skimp on this), blackout curtains that actually block the morning sun coming off the Caspian, and honestly, the best shower pressure I’ve had in Azerbaijan. The 9.6 rating makes total sense once you’re there; it’s those little touches like having a proper coffee setup and local guidebooks that aren’t just tourist traps. The Wi-Fi is solid too, which matters if you’re trying to upload photos of the Flame Towers from their windows – and yes, you get glimpses of them from certain angles.

What I really appreciate is how they’ve managed to create this bubble of calm while keeping you connected to actual Baku life. You’re close enough to hear the city humming below, but the double-glazed windows mean you’re not dealing with traffic noise at 2 AM. The Sabayil area gets busy during evening strolls – locals love this stretch – but it quiets down perfectly for sleep. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’ve rented a car (most people don’t need to in this area), but there are spots within a block or two. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too; none of that awkward key-juggling you sometimes get with apartment rentals. I mean, for a 4-star setup, they’ve really nailed the balance between hotel-level service and the authenticity you want from staying in someone’s actual neighborhood.
