I honestly wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place in this part of Nasimi, but this little boutique spot on Süleyman Rəhimov street actually surprised me. The building itself has this understated charm – not flashy, but there’s something appealing about how they’ve kept things simple and clean. When you walk in, it feels more like someone’s well-designed apartment than a typical hotel lobby, which I mean in the best way possible.

The location is actually pretty smart if you know Baku at all. You’re tucked away enough to avoid the main tourist chaos, but honestly, you can still get to the Old City or Flame Towers without too much hassle. What I really appreciated was how quiet Süleyman Rəhimov gets at night – you’re not dealing with constant traffic noise like you would closer to Nizami street. The staff here seems to genuinely care about the place, not just going through the motions. Check-in was smooth (always a relief when you’re tired), and they actually knew useful stuff about the neighborhood when I asked about decent places to grab dinner nearby.

Here’s the thing about boutique hotels – sometimes they try too hard to be quirky and end up being impractical. Karat Inn gets the balance right, though. The rooms feel thoughtfully designed rather than just decorated, if that makes sense. Good lighting for actually reading, decent Wi-Fi that doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and the kind of shower pressure that makes you want to stay in there longer than you should. I stayed during what turned out to be a pretty busy week in the city, and the place never felt chaotic or overwhelmed. There’s this calm efficiency about how they run things that you don’t always find, especially at this price point. Look, it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury amenities, but sometimes what you want is just a really solid, comfortable place that doesn’t give you any unpleasant surprises – and that’s exactly what this is.

  Very gud hotel . Staff is very friendly very helpful. Nizami street is abt 700 meters away kinda 10 mint walk . Would recommend this hotel to others as everything is near by . Grocery atm doner kebab dominos is with in 1 mile distance .

  A good hotel for the price with helpful staff. The room had a fridge and electric kettle, coffee and tea, bottle of water. Small but functional. Located 6 min walk from 28 May metro station where the airport bus stops and 10 min walk from Nizami walking street. Near one of the main avenue Bul Bul and a nice big park. My room window was facing inner yard so it was quiet day and night.

  It was my first time staying at Karat Hotel and I was very satisfied. As soon as I entered the hotel, a young man with blond hair greeted me. Since the check-in time was 2:00 PM, I had to wait a bit, but they immediately offered me tea and connected me to the internet. It was actually very nice, it's great that the staff is so friendly and young. I will definitely choose this hotel on my next trip
