I mean, the location is honestly perfect – close enough that you can stumble back from dinner without hunting for a taxi, but far enough from the main drag that you’re not dealing with street noise all night.

The place has this understated vibe that I really appreciated. It’s not trying to be flashy or oversell itself, which is refreshing in Baku where some hotels can be a bit… much. The lobby’s got this clean, modern feel with some nice local touches – they’ve actually incorporated traditional Azerbaijani elements without making it feel like a theme park. Check-in was smooth (they speak decent English, which helps), and honestly, the staff seemed genuinely happy to help rather than just going through the motions. The rooms are well-designed for a 3-star – nothing fancy, but everything works and it’s spotless. I particularly liked that they’ve clearly thought about the details that matter: good water pressure, reliable wifi, and blackout curtains that actually block the light. The eco-friendly angle isn’t just marketing speak either; they’ve got solar panels and use local materials where they can.

What really won me over though was the breakfast situation. They do this spread of local specialties alongside the usual continental stuff, and the qutab (these thin pancakes with herbs) were honestly better than what I had at some of the pricier spots downtown. The rooftop area gives you decent views toward the Caspian – not spectacular, but nice enough for evening tea. One thing to note: parking can be a bit tight on Efendiyev Street, but there’s a small lot behind the building that most guests don’t seem to know about. If you’re planning to explore the Old City or hit up the Heydar Aliyev Center, you’re perfectly positioned here. The metro’s close by, and honestly, most of central Baku is walkable from this spot. I’d definitely stay here again – it’s one of those places that just gets the basics right without any fuss, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want.
