ART Gallery Hotel Overview
You know what caught me off guard about the ART Gallery Hotel? I mean, with a name like that, I was expecting some pretentious place with overpriced coffee and stuffy vibes. But honestly, walking into this place on Neftçilər Prospekti felt more like discovering a well-kept secret than checking into a typical four-star spot. The lobby actually lives up to the gallery part – there’s this rotating collection of local Azerbaijani artwork that changes every few months, and I found myself genuinely stopping to look at pieces instead of just rushing to the elevator like usual.
The location is pretty solid if you know Baku at all. You’re right in Sabayil, which means you can walk to the Old City (Icherisheher) in about fifteen minutes, but you’re also close enough to the modern business district that grabbing dinner or meeting people isn’t a hassle. What I really appreciated – and this might sound weird – is that they’re on a section of Neftçilər that doesn’t get the crazy traffic noise you’d expect from such a main avenue. The rooms facing the boulevard have decent soundproofing, though if you’re a super light sleeper, maybe request something facing the courtyard side. The staff seems to actually know the neighborhood too, which is rarer than you’d think. When I asked about finding a good place for plov that wasn’t touristy, the front desk guy immediately knew exactly what I meant and sent me to this little spot three blocks over that I never would’ve found otherwise.
Here’s the thing about this hotel that really sold me on it – the details feel thought out by someone who actually travels. The bathroom lighting is bright enough to see what you’re doing (revolutionary concept, I know), there are enough outlets near the bed, and the AC actually works properly, which becomes pretty important during Baku’s summer months. The breakfast spread is honestly better than it needs to be for a four-star place – they do this amazing fresh bread that’s still warm, and the local honey selection is worth getting up early for. I stayed there during both busy conference season and a quieter period in late fall, and the service stayed consistently good, which tells you something about how they run the place. The 9.4 rating makes sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be the fanciest hotel in the city, but everything they do, they do well. If you’re looking for Instagram-perfect luxury, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want a place that feels like someone actually cares about whether you have a good stay in Baku, and you don’t mind paying a bit more for that attention to detail, you’ll get why people keep coming back here.

One of the best in Baku – Ammar from United Arab Emirates – 11 July 2025 (9/10)
Amazing hotel, I can't think of a better location, walking distance to the center and to the seaside. Staff are very professional and friendly.
Beds are of a high quality, and you get the real sense of a boutique hotel.

Cozy and quality made hotel with friendly staff, exceptionally located. Rooms are clean, bed and pillows are very good
What could be improved: Breakfast could be more varied also staff in cafe not trained enough although very friendly.
Some people could want to have earplugs for sleep, it can be noisy from adjacent road.Exceptional – Mojo from Saudi Arabia – 23 June 2025 (10/10)

Nice hotel with good service , clean and perfect location – Tahany from United Arab Emirates – 8 June 2025 (9/10)
Cleanliness and the breakfast
What could be improved: Nothing to addA hotel full of art – Dolunay from Turkey – 8 June 2025 (10/10)
New hotel with passionate attention to detail. Lots of artwork, most had qr codes to scan and learn about the artist. Staff were very friendly, special thanks to Jamal who helped us at the bus stop far away from the hotel, a nice coincidence. Vagif, Ruslan and others served us very delicious breakfasts. Sorry we could not learn names of all staff members. The hotel is 2 min away from the bus stop and at a walking distance from most touristic attraction sites. We could come and rest between places and have tea in our room. Very clean room, ours was spatious. Good air conditioning.
What could be improved: Next to a busy street, the windows are soundproof but you might hear some noise.A great hotel located next to the Old City – Eyal from Israel – 2 June 2025 (10/10)
A great boutique hotel located next to the Old City and other major sites. An excellent breakfast and professional staff doing their best to assist.

Amazing stay – we’ll definitely be back!
We loved everything about this hotel! The location is unbeatable – right in the heart of everything, with all the main spots just a short walk away.
The hotel itself is stunning, filled with beautiful art everywhere – it honestly feels like staying in a mini museum!
Our room was gorgeous, super clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with a great international selection.
And most importantly – the service was next level. A huge thank you to Jalal, who was absolutely incredible. He made our stay extra special with his warm and outstanding service.
Can’t wait to come back!
