Check-in was smooth (none of that awkward standing around while they figure out their computer system), and honestly, they knew the neighborhood better than some locals I met. They pointed me toward this little bakery just a few blocks down that I never would’ve found otherwise – the kind of place where old guys play backgammon and the bread is still warm at 7 AM. The location itself is pretty clever, actually. You’re far enough from the main tourist chaos that you can sleep through the night, but close enough that a quick taxi ride gets you anywhere you want to be in Baku. I walked to several restaurants without breaking a sweat, and there’s this small park nearby that’s perfect for morning coffee if you grab a cup from the lobby.

The apartment itself felt… well, lived-in in a good way. Not that sterile hotel feel where everything’s bolted down and wrapped in plastic. The bed was actually comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and the bathroom had decent water pressure – you’d be surprised how often that’s not a given. One thing I really appreciated was how quiet it stayed at night. I mean, you’re still in a city, so there’s some street noise, but nothing that kept me awake. The kitchen setup meant I could grab groceries from that little market around the corner and make simple meals, which honestly saved me a fortune and felt more normal than eating out every single night. If I’m being completely honest, this place just works. It’s not trying to be the fanciest spot in Baku, but it nails all the stuff that actually matters when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two. You get space, you get comfort, you get people who know what they’re doing, and you’re in a spot where you can live like a person instead of a tourist for a few days.

  Appartement luxueux, tout confort. Une propriétaire à l'écoute, hyper disponible et efficace. Prix élevé, mais on en a pour son argent. J'y étais pour la CoP29 et au même prix ou plus, des collègues étaient dans des hôtels au mieux minables.
  
  What could be improved: Ce n'est pas le meilleur emplacement de Bakou (par rapport aux entres d'intérêt), mais bus et métro sont juste à côté, et la vieille ville est à 3 stations de métro.
