Seven Boutique Hotel Baku Overview
Honestly, when I first walked into Seven Boutique Hotel on Islam Safarli Street, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place – but this little gem surprised me in all the right ways. The lobby has this understated elegance that feels more expensive than it actually is, with warm lighting that makes you want to linger over coffee rather than rush upstairs. You know what struck me most? The staff actually remembered my name by day two, which never happens at those big chain hotels.
The location is pretty smart, actually – you’re right in Yasamal district, which means you’re close enough to Old City (about a 15-minute taxi ride) but far enough away that you’re not dealing with tourist crowds every time you step outside. There’s a decent bakery just down the street that does amazing fresh bread in the mornings, and if you walk about five minutes toward 28 May metro station, you’ll find some solid local restaurants that don’t feel like tourist traps. The neighborhood gets pleasantly quiet after 9 PM, so light sleepers will appreciate that – though you might hear some traffic during morning rush hour if you’re facing the main street.
I mean, look, it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury amenities, but the rooms are thoughtfully designed with good storage space (travelers know how rare that is) and surprisingly comfortable beds. The bathroom actually has decent water pressure, which is honestly half the battle in boutique hotels. What really won me over was the breakfast setup – nothing fancy, but they serve proper Azerbaijani tea alongside continental options, and the staff will chat with you about local spots if you ask. The 8.1 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed there; it’s one of those places that does the basics really well without trying to be something it’s not. Plus, check-in was painless, and they helped arrange a reliable taxi driver for airport runs – those little touches that make solo travelers feel looked after.

Excellent location, can walk to everywhere. Comfortable Room and breakfast is simple but very good!
Perfect location in the old town – Shavy from Belgium – 22 August 2024 (9/10)
The room was spacious and the location is just 5 minutes walk to the double gates and 4 minutes walk to Nizami street. Hotel staff, especially Raffi was super friendly. The wifi is super fast!
The room have refrigerator, kettle, tea but no coffer, I’m not a tea drinker. They also provide bottled waters and replace new bottles everyday. Nice bathroom with good shower, hairdryer is provided.
This hotel is open 24 hours, an airport taxi costs 30 AZN.
If you want your room cleaned you need to leave the key otherwise they don’t make up room.
What could be improved: Breakfast served at 8:30, which is too late. They should serves the breakfast early, tours start at 8:50. One staff name Yuzof is rude ( not sure the spelling of his name) when I ask for breakfast he didn’t feel like serving it, so I said to him never mind I skip the breakfast.
And due to its central location and close to the pubs, you might have problems with the night music.Stay was amazing – Haris from Pakistan – 6 August 2024 (8/10)
Location and cleanliness
What could be improved: Rooms are bit smallStay in Style – Hasan from Pakistan – 31 July 2024 (9/10)
The bed was super comfortable, the Deluxe room was spacious and had a proper desk and chair that could be used for work. The facility is in an old building but renovated in a modern style so it feels luxurious with a refined personality. Yousef at the reception was very helpful, and the breakfast and internet were excellent. The location is really close to the busy Nizami street and old city with a great variety of grocery stores and restaurants and tourist attractions.
What could be improved: I guess it comes with the location being close to a vibrant night life, I could feel the "rhythm" and the "beat". It was good music nonetheless so not a negative.
