Parkside Hotel & Apartments Overview

You know what caught me off guard about the Parkside Hotel & Apartments? It’s actually got this perfect sweet spot thing going on – tucked away on Pushkin Street where you get that authentic Baku neighborhood feel, but you’re still close enough to everything that matters. I mean, you’re in Nasimi, which honestly feels more like where locals actually live rather than some touristy bubble.

The building itself has this solid, understated vibe – nothing flashy, but when you walk in, there’s this sense that someone actually thought about the details. The lobby smells faintly of that good coffee they’re brewing somewhere, and the staff… well, they seem to genuinely know the city rather than just reciting rehearsed directions. I stayed in one of the apartment-style rooms, and it’s clear they understand that travelers want space to actually live a bit. The kitchen wasn’t just for show – proper fridge, decent counter space, the kind of setup where you could grab fresh bread from the local bakeries (there’s a particularly good one about three blocks down) and not feel like you’re eating off a hotel desk. The beds are firm in that European way, and honestly, after walking around Baku’s Old City all day, that extra support hits the spot.

What really sold me was how the place feels during different parts of the day. Mornings are quiet – you hear the city waking up through the windows, but Pushkin Street isn’t one of those main arteries where traffic starts honking at dawn. Evenings, though, that’s when you realize why they called it Parkside. There’s this gentle hum of people out for walks, maybe heading to dinner, and the lighting in the rooms gets this warm quality that makes you want to pour a glass of something and plan tomorrow’s adventures. The 8.5 rating makes sense when you experience it – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Baku, but everything works the way it should. Check-in was smooth, the Wi-Fi doesn’t drop every ten minutes, and when I had a question about getting to the Flame Towers, the front desk guy drew me a little map showing the back route that avoids the construction zone. Those kinds of touches, you know? If you’re looking for a place that feels less like a hotel pit-stop and more like a temporary home base while you explore Azerbaijan’s capital, this one gets it right.

Reviews of Parkside Hotel & Apartments

  • We love our stay. – Tooba from Pakistan – 7 July 2025 (10/10)

Breakfast was exceptional, we booked junior suite which has all facilities and very comfortable room. view from the room was very good. Location is good. we love our stay

What could be improved: Location was good except that taxi is not available at the door step of hotel. we have to walk at the corner for taxi

  • A clean, well-located hotel with friendly staff—great for city access – Vijaykumar from Oman – 18 June 2025 (10/10)

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff were polite and very helpful, especially Farid who went out of his way to assist us. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable environment to relax. The location is excellent—close to the city centre, right next to the bus station, a short walk to the metro, and just 5 minutes to the mall and nearby restaurants.

What could be improved: The only downside was the lack of direct parking at the hotel entrance. Guests need to walk a short distance from the street, which could be inconvenient if you're carrying multiple bags or heavy luggage.

  • great stay – Mandar from India – 3 June 2025 (9/10)

polService at the hotel was fantastic. I dont recall the name of the service manager on the reception (apologies for same), however he was very helpful.

  • Centrally located hotel with clean spacious rooms. – Vivek from India – 2 June 2025 (9/10)

The hotel is centrally located next to the bus station and metro station. The airport shuttle bus stops right in front of the hotel. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The huge windows provide good views of the city. Highly recommend the junior suite. The breakfast spread had Jain food options too.

What could be improved: The WiFi was pretty slow. The breakfast spread was almost same on all 3 days we stayed at the hotel. The hotel had a policy of extracting a fine from guests if water is spilled on the bathroom floor which was to protect the tiles from getting damaged. This seemed to be a very odd policy.

  • The best stay in my life – Abdul from Pakistan – 27 May 2025 (10/10)

I must say this was my best stay in baku! Such a nice location, booked a junior suite ajd the room size was perfect with all the things provided in the room. The staff is really really good and cooperative specially kanan and emin they are really friendly and professional also. My room had the panoramic view of the city

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Superb – Zarish from Pakistan – 1 May 2025 (9/10)

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! As a solo traveler, I truly appreciated how safe and welcoming the environment felt. The staff, especially Irfan and the rest of the team, were incredibly cooperative and helpful throughout my stay. The location is perfect close to everything yet peaceful and comfortable. room was clean, service was excellent, and overall it felt like a home away from home. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city!

  • Budgeted hotel and value for money – Anand from Oman – 24 April 2025 (10/10)

Nice location near city. Amazing view from hotel rooms.

What could be improved: More and more vegan and vegetarian food options has to be there.

  • Exceptional – Yangjian from China – 5 March 2025 (10/10)

Everything was perfect. Thanks to all staff. I will choose again. Best place in Baku

    What could be improved: nothing

  • Superb – Constantin from Romania – 16 December 2024 (9/10)

I have nothing important to complain about. The staff was friendly (but discreet, as I like it) and English speaking, the room was big and fully equipped, everything was functioning, it was clean, bed linen and towels changed in time, the air conditioning functioning for cooling but also for heating (if you understand the logic behind how it works). Breakfast OK as variety. Good positioning, close to the train, Metro and the bus stations to all directions in Baku. A lot of good restaurants (local food, indian, chinese, turkish, italian) in 10 minutes walking range

What could be improved: Small things – for instance the bathtub drain was a bit slow. My room had only a bathtub (no separate shower space) – so if you have mobility problems (I do NOT have), ask before.

  • Great value in Baku for an excellent stay, with a few minor difficulties – Barry from United States – 13 November 2024 (9/10)

We occupied the junior suite for two weeks so we had a very full experience at the Parkside. The room was huge and very pleasant for a long stay, with very comfortable beds and a panoramic view over the bus and train station of 28 May – as well as over to the Flame Towers. The hotel has a very convenient location to use the metro and buses, or walk/taxi to Fountain Square and the old city. The breakfast was full of options and tasty. The room is very quiet at night and good for sleeping. The staff was mostly very agreeable and eager to respond with help, but we sometimes needed to ask for things twice. The managers were especially informative and responsive.

What could be improved: The biggest problem now is parking as well as moving in and out. The hotel lost its parking to the new bus terminal, and (as of now) has not found a good way to handle arrival or departure. It needs a solution. The only parking now is on the street (which is generally available a short block away for modest cost). We were not alerted about this in advance.

Payment with a USA-based Visa card did not work, but the manager arranged for a link that did. In most locations around Baku, it works fine and the hotel was working on a fix.

Wifi was a problem on the 8th floor, with weak signal. It took a day or so, but the hotel provided a signal extender that offered 5G service not detectable on the regular system. That worked much, much better.

    Gym needs some upgrading.
