Check-in was refreshingly straightforward (no standing around waiting for tour groups), and honestly, the whole vibe feels more like borrowing a well-appointed friend’s place than staying in typical tourist accommodation. The apartment itself has this lived-in comfort that’s hard to fake – you’ve got proper kitchen space if you want to hit up the local markets, which are incredible here, and the windows actually open, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places seal you in with recycled air. During the evenings, you can hear the gentle hum of the neighborhood winding down rather than traffic noise, which is pretty remarkable considering you’re steps from one of Baku’s busiest streets.

What really sells this place, though, is the location intelligence. You’re a five-minute walk from the Old City walls – I’m talking about those massive medieval fortifications that look even more dramatic at sunset – and maybe ten minutes from the waterfront where locals actually hang out, not just the touristy promenade sections. The Flame Towers dominate the skyline from certain angles of the neighborhood, and there’s something oddly comforting about using them as your landmark when you’re finding your way back after exploring. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this area (most of central Baku is), but honestly, you don’t really need a car from here. The metro’s accessible, marshrutkas run constantly if you’re feeling adventurous, and taxis are dirt cheap. Plus, some of the city’s best small restaurants – the kind where you point at what looks good because the menu’s in Azerbaijani – are literally around the corner.   I loved the spacious place, I loved the fact that there was room for storage. They also provided basic amenities. Also it was amazing location. I would say best location to stay. Everything is nearby and everything is manageable. Great place for the money. They let us do early check in.
  
  What could be improved: Can have a dustbin in the hall, easier to throw things. Can have a wiper in the toilet. Always gets a bit slippery so it was hard to manage. There should be wifi password somewhere easier to look for and the bedroom aircon had some loose cable so it would stopped working at times.

  Right in the city center, very comfortable to get around, and the apartment was warm. Most importantly, the host was very kind and allowed a late checkout.
  
  What could be improved: The living room door leading to the balcony was very uncomfortable—throughout the night, the wind caused unreal noises, and I barely slept. Plus, during the strong winds at night, the bedroom window opened by itself. I recommend the host fix it. Overall, though, it’s a good apartment.
