Deniz İnn Hotel Overview

You know what really caught me off guard about Deniz İnn Hotel? I was expecting just another decent four-star place in Baku’s city center, but honestly, this spot punches way above its weight. The location on Mirzə Şəfi Vazeh street is actually perfect – you’re right in Sabayil district where things are happening, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with constant traffic noise. I mean, you can walk to the Old City in about ten minutes, and there’s this great little tea house just around the corner that barely any tourists know about.

The staff here – and I’m not just saying this because travel sites always mention service – they actually remember your name after the first day. There’s this one guy at the front desk, super helpful with directions, who told me about a shortcut to the Flame Towers that saved me probably twenty minutes of walking uphill. The rooms themselves are surprisingly spacious for European standards, and they’ve got this whole modern-meets-traditional Azerbaijani thing going on that doesn’t feel forced. The bathrooms are properly updated too, which honestly matters more than people admit when you’re traveling. I stayed on the fourth floor and could see glimpses of the Caspian between the buildings – not a full sea view, but enough to remind you where you are.

What really sold me on this place though was the attention to details that most hotels miss. The wifi actually works throughout the building (tested it in the stairwells because I’m neurotic like that), and they stock the minibar with local stuff alongside the usual international brands – try the pomegranate juice, it’s incredible. The breakfast spread isn’t huge, but everything’s fresh and they do this amazing local honey situation that I probably went overboard on. Plus, the whole place just feels clean in that deep-clean way, not just surface tidy. I travel a lot for work and you develop a sixth sense for these things. The only tiny critique I’d have is that the elevator’s a bit slow, but honestly, when everything else is running smoothly, who cares about waiting an extra thirty seconds? If you’re looking for a place in Baku that gives you proper value and doesn’t feel like you’re staying in some corporate chain, this is your spot.

Reviews of Deniz İnn Hotel

  • Exceptional – Inna from Russia – 2 July 2025 (10/10)

Beautiful place right in the heart of the Old City. We stayed in a spacious room with a large balcony shadowed by a huge fig tree overlooking a small square. The room is very cosy and comfortable with all the amentites at hand. The best part of our stay were the hosts: very accommodating, always smiling, and very kind.

  • A warm, peaceful stay filled with comfort, kindness, and unforgettable memories. – Rohit from India – 27 April 2025 (10/10)

Our stay at Deniz Inn Boutique Hotel in Baku exceeded all our expectations. Although it’s a boutique hotel, it felt truly luxurious. The owner, Mr. Jabber, was extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, assisting us with anything we needed and making us feel very safe. He even arranged a taxi for us to the airport, which made our departure smooth and stress-free.
The breakfast was homemade and absolutely delicious, and the room was spotless, well-equipped with all the amenities we needed.
Despite being located in the heart of Old Baku, a lively tourist area, the hotel was very calm and quiet at night, allowing us to rest peacefully.
If we ever return to Baku, we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

What could be improved: There was truly nothing we didn’t like. Everything was perfect — the only sad part was saying goodbye to such a beautiful place and the wonderful people we met.

  • exceptionally good – Hadi from Saudi Arabia – 2 April 2025 (10/10)

  • Superb – L from United Arab Emirates – 13 February 2025 (9/10)

    Location is good.
Very pretty inn. Good to feel the local vibe! It was very warm in middle of winter.
Not luxury but feel at home.
They arranged our transportation from and to airport. It was convenient for us because inn is not easy access by car. General manager came to see us to help to carry our baggages.
Very good view cafe called “Cay Baqi 145” for 2min walk. Cost Cafe is for 30second walk.
They gave us delicious welcome tea and cake

What could be improved: WiFi wasn’t great.
