You know what struck me first about this place? The address alone tells you you’ve landed somewhere special. Nizami Street is basically Baku’s Fifth Avenue – I mean, you’re literally in the heart of everything that matters in this city. When I stepped out of the flat for the first time, I was honestly a bit overwhelmed by how much life was happening right outside the door. The energy on Nizami is something else, especially in the evenings when locals are out strolling and the cafes start buzzing.

The flat itself has that lived-in comfort that’s way better than hotel sterile, if you ask me. It’s got character – and I don’t mean “character” like weird stains and broken fixtures (thank god). I’m talking about thoughtful touches that make you feel like someone actually cares about this place. The windows face the street, so yeah, you’ll hear Baku being Baku, but honestly? That’s part of the charm. Plus, if you’re the type who needs dead silence to sleep, well… you probably shouldn’t be staying in the center of Azerbaijan’s most vibrant city anyway. The morning light streaming in is gorgeous though, and there’s something pretty magical about having your coffee while watching the city wake up below.

What really sold me on this spot was how it sits in the sweet spot between tourist central and actual Baku life. You’re close enough to walk to all the Old City attractions – the Maiden Tower, the palace complex, all that UNESCO World Heritage stuff – but you’re also surrounded by where locals actually eat and shop. There’s this little bakery about two blocks down that I stumbled into on my second morning, and I swear their fresh lavash was better than anything I’d tried in the fancy restaurant district. The neighborhood has this wonderful mix of Soviet-era buildings and newer developments, so you get a real sense of how Baku has evolved. And honestly, for a 4-star place with a 9 rating, you’re getting incredible value – especially considering you’re basically living like a local in one of the most desirable areas of the city. The whole experience just feels authentic in a way that big chain hotels can never quite manage.

  The apartment was close to 28th may bus station & metro, the airport express bus drops here too.
  The host was very prompt with messages & was very helpful in answering questions.
  Check in was easy & the host kept in touch throughout. & met us to check in.
  The unit is on 4th floor, there are steps, but no elevator. The balcony is lovely & overlooks the street below.
  The layout of the unit is a little awkward – the bed prevents easy access of the balcony, but not a huge problem for a couple of nights.
  The host is really kind & helpful, but unfortunately we had a misunderstanding regarding checkout time – it was our misunderstanding. I recommend clarifying exactly the check out.

  В квартире есть всё необходимое, можно готовить, есть холодильник, чайник, микроволновка, плита. Прекрасный балкон. Рядом магазины, недалеко метро. Расположение понравилось.
  
  What could be improved: Если кому-то тяжело без лифта подняться на 4й этаж – то, наверное, этот вариант не для вас. Мне было нормально.

  Excellent location in a city centre, 5mins walk to the sea, 15mins walking distance away from city’s main landmarks. Nice view from the balcony and the host was bice too. The flat had all we need I just wish the kitchen was a bit bigger. Overall – great value for money.

  The apartment was stunning! Everything is so perfect! We was greeted by a great big smile from the owner. The place is accessible to everything great location, the owner was amazing making sure we had everything we needed from start to finish! we didn’t want to leave! They are all facilities on the property.
