Nemi Museum Art Hotel Overview
So I’ve stayed at the Nemi Museum Art Hotel a few times now, and honestly? It’s one of those places that gets better each time you visit. The location on Islam Safarli Street in Nasimi is actually pretty perfect if you know Baku – you’re close enough to the old city that you can walk there in about fifteen minutes, but far enough from the tourist crowds that you get to see how locals actually live. The street itself is quieter than some of the main drags, which I appreciate when I’m trying to sleep off jet lag.
What really sets this place apart is how they’ve nailed the whole art hotel concept without being pretentious about it. I mean, you walk into the lobby and there’s actual interesting artwork on the walls – not just generic hotel paintings of flowers or whatever. The staff clearly knows their stuff too; last time I was there, the front desk guy spent ten minutes telling me about a local gallery opening that weekend. The rooms themselves are comfortable in that understated way – good beds, decent WiFi (which honestly can be hit or miss in some Baku hotels), and the bathrooms are modern without trying too hard. You know what I really noticed? The soundproofing is actually solid. Even when there was construction happening across the street during my last stay, I barely heard it once I closed the windows.
The 4-star rating feels right – it’s not trying to be the Four Seasons, but everything works and the details matter. Parking was surprisingly easy to figure out, and the breakfast spread is way better than you’d expect from a boutique place. They do this local honey thing that’s incredible, and the coffee is strong enough to get you moving for a day of wandering around Baku’s crazy architecture. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if you’re someone who wants to be near the action but not drowning in it. The neighborhood has some great little restaurants within walking distance too – there’s this amazing plov place just two blocks down that the hotel staff recommended, and they were absolutely right about it.

Reviews of Nemi Museum Art Hotel
Tati from Russia – 29 May 2025 (7/10)
What could be improved:
Exceptional – Mamedova from Russia – 15 May 2025 (10/10)

The hotel turned out to be an excellent place for a family vacation. Small, but very cozy and quiet. The rooms are spacious and clean, with everything we needed. We especially liked the breakfast, with lots of fresh fruits and local products. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We were very happy and will definitely come back!
