You know what really surprised me about LUXOR Central? It’s tucked away on this street named after the Rostropovich brothers – you know, the famous cellists – and honestly, I almost walked right past it the first time. The entrance is more understated than you’d expect for a place with such an impressive 9.5 rating, but that actually turned out to be part of its charm.

Once you’re inside though, everything clicks into place. These aren’t your typical cramped hotel rooms – they’re proper apartments with kitchens that actually work (I made coffee there every morning and it beat the overpriced stuff at the tourist cafes). The location is absolutely killer if you want to experience Baku like someone who lives there rather than just passing through. Nizami Street is literally around the corner, which means you can stumble out for dinner at any of those incredible local spots, then actually walk it off afterward. I mean, you’re basically in the heart of Sabayil district, so the Old City walls are a ten-minute stroll, but you’re also close enough to the modern stuff that you don’t feel cut off from anything.

What really impressed me – and this might sound weird – was how quiet it stays at night despite being so central. The building seems to buffer street noise really well, plus the locals here aren’t the type to party loudly on weeknights anyway. The staff genuinely knows the neighborhood too, not just the standard tourist recommendations. When I mentioned wanting to find good baklava, they sent me to this tiny place three blocks away that I never would’ve discovered otherwise. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving (honestly, most places in central Baku are), but there are options nearby, and the metro connections make a car pretty unnecessary anyway. The apartments themselves feel lived-in rather than sterile – good water pressure, reliable wifi, and those little touches that make you realize someone actually thought about what travelers need. I stayed there during shoulder season in late spring, and while I can imagine it gets busier in summer, the location means you’re never really stuck dealing with crowds unless you want to be.

  Surprisingly perfect accommodation in the heart of the city center, within the walk distance to almost all interesting locations to visit. A big supermarket right at the Ground Floor, was truly great.
  Appartement was very clean and fresh. The bed and the linens were super clean, fresh and well ironed. There was also wash-machine and kitchen was occupied with necessary equipments like coffee maker, microwave and toeaster.
  
  A special thanks to host Movlud for being available 24/7, who was very attentive and guided us with necessary recommendations.

  Very clean, fine furnished apartment with wide and super clean bathroom and wc. Smart TV and high speed optic internet 🛜 is available. We found fantastic that there is a great supermarket at the Level Zero. Despite of being 200-300 meters away from the heart of the city center, its located also at very quit street.
