The studio itself is smartly designed (and I mean really smartly – someone clearly thought about how people actually live in small spaces). The kitchen area flows seamlessly into the living space, and there’s this gorgeous view that stretches out over the Caspian Sea. I spent way too many mornings just standing there with my coffee, watching the light change on the water. The bed is positioned perfectly to catch the morning breeze – hence the name, I guess – and honestly, I slept better there than I have in months. The bathroom’s compact but well-appointed, with this rainfall shower that’s surprisingly powerful for an apartment setup.

What really gets me about this place is the location within Baku itself. You’re close enough to the Old City that you can walk there when the weather’s nice (maybe 15-20 minutes if you don’t mind a stroll), but you’re not dealing with the tourist crowds and noise right outside your door. The Sea Breeze area has this relaxed, residential feel during the day, but come evening, there are some fantastic local spots within walking distance. I found this little tea house about three blocks away that serves the most incredible plov – the kind of place you’d never find unless you were staying in the neighborhood. The complex itself is well-maintained, parking wasn’t a nightmare (which, if you’ve driven in Baku, you know is saying something), and the check-in process was refreshingly straightforward. My only tiny complaint? The Wi-Fi can get a bit spotty during peak evening hours, but honestly, with that sea view and the general vibe of the place, I found myself caring less about being constantly connected. It’s the kind of spot where you actually want to put your phone down and just… exist for a while.
