Honestly, İsr Baku Hotel caught me off guard in the best way possible. You know how apartment hotels can be hit or miss? Well, this one’s definitely a hit, even if it doesn’t quite live up to that 5-star rating they’re claiming – I mean, it’s solid, but let’s be real about expectations here.

The location on Neftchiler Avenue is actually pretty sweet if you know Baku at all. You’re right in the heart of Nasimi district, which means you’re walking distance from the Flame Towers (you literally can’t miss them) and close enough to the old city that you won’t spend half your day in traffic. The avenue itself gets busy during rush hour – I’m talking proper Baku busy – but the building’s set back enough that you won’t hear every car honking at 7 AM. What really sold me was the pool situation. Look, finding a decent pool in Baku that’s not at some overpriced resort is tricky, and theirs is actually usable. Not Olympic-sized or anything fancy, but clean and deep enough for proper swimming. The apartment setup works brilliantly too, especially if you’re staying more than a few nights. There’s a proper kitchen (not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation), which is clutch when you want to grab fresh pomegranates from the local market instead of paying hotel restaurant prices for everything.

The staff genuinely knows their stuff about the city – they pointed me toward this amazing local restaurant just off Fountain Square that I never would’ve found otherwise. Check-in was smooth, though parking can be a bit of a puzzle during peak season. The apartments themselves have that modern Baku aesthetic – lots of glass and clean lines – but they’ve managed to make it feel homey rather than sterile. Air conditioning works like a dream (crucial during those brutal summer months), and the Wi-Fi actually delivers on speed promises. I’ll be honest though, some of the fixtures show a tiny bit of wear, which explains why the guest rating sits at 7.3 rather than pushing 8 or 9. Nothing major, just small things like bathroom tiles that could use refreshing and elevator buttons that stick occasionally. But here’s the thing – for the price point and location, you’re getting genuine value. You’re close enough to walk to major attractions, the Caspian Sea views from upper floors are spectacular during sunset, and having that pool access after spending the day exploring the heat and chaos of central Baku? Absolutely worth it. Plus, the neighborhood has character – real Bakuvians live here, not just tourists, so you get authentic late-night tea houses and proper local bakeries within a few blocks.

  İsr Baku Hotel apartment with a pool has excellent location. Apartment is big, there is space for a big group and it is easy to access. Wifi works well and there are good services (shops, restaurants, pharmacy, etc) nearby. Sauna & spa in the same building (with additional cost) is a big plus. All in all this apartment got high points from us.
  
  What could be improved: Communization with the host was not so easy and there was a lot messaging and action needed to get things in order. Also the floor of the apartment was very dirty (bottom of the feet was quite black after a couple of minutes walk). However after asking/discussing all was fine in the end. Just be prepared to operate yourself and contact actively the host. We faced some challenges but in the end all sorted out nicely.

  What could be improved: Расположение апартаментов хорошее. Проблемы начались при заселение – вместо 4 спален предоставили апартаменты с 3 спальнями. Предложили переехать на 2 ночи в одни апартаменты и на 2 ночи в другие, что было крайне неудобно для нас. В итоге один гость спал на диване в гостиной, а не в отдельной спальне. Далее по оплате. В бронировании было подтверждена оплата картой через букинг. Представитель пришёл с терминалом, чтобы оплатили прямо в квартире ему. Я считаю это сомнительной операцией, тем более данная оплата подтверждена изначально на сайте, а не оплата на месте. Стали звонить разбираться в букинг-сказали, что эту настройку сделал владелец апартаментов. Если бы не было самой пластиковой карты с собой, то представитель не заселил бы в апартаменты. Но самое отвратительное – это отношение представителя этих апартаментов к людям. В апартаментах в каждом санузле были гигиенические души, но не было туалетной бумаги. На нашу просьбу принести туалетную бумагу, представитель сказал: «Только русские просят туалетную бумагу! Остальные знают как пользоваться гигиеническим душем». Молодой человек вёл себя дерзко и неподобающе. Обращался на английском языке по фамилии без приставки,прекрасно понимая и демонстративно показывая своё отношение. Очень жаль, что были исключительно женской компанией. Хотелось бы посмотреть, хватило бы духа у этого молодого человека общаться также с мужчинами. Испортил впечатление о таком прекрасном городе!
