What really got me though was the attention to details you don’t expect – like the way they’ve soundproofed the rooms so you can barely hear the city buzz, even though you’re right in the middle of everything.

Location-wise, it’s pretty brilliant actually. You’re maybe a ten-minute walk from the Old City walls, and there’s this little bakery around the corner that locals queue up at every morning – I stumbled across it by accident and ended up going there daily. The Flame Towers light up perfectly from some of the higher floor windows, which is something the photos don’t really capture. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle during peak season (summer gets crazy busy), but the staff knows the neighborhood well enough to point you toward spots that actually work. I stayed during one of those windy Baku weeks in spring, and honestly, coming back to this quiet, well-insulated space felt like a refuge. The whole setup just works – it’s got that residential feel that makes you want to settle in for more than just a night or two, but with all the services you’d want from a proper hotel. If you’re the type who appreciates substance over flash, and you want to feel like you’re living in Baku rather than just visiting it, this place gets it right.
