You know what struck me first about Future Baku city? The name sounds way more futuristic than the place actually is – and honestly, that’s not a bad thing. This 4-star spot sits right on Bashir Safaroglu Street in the Nasimi district, which puts you in this interesting middle ground between old Baku charm and the city’s rapid modernization. I mean, you’re close enough to hear the construction of new developments (Azerbaijan’s oil money at work), but far enough from the tourist chaos around Icherisheher that you can actually get some sleep.

The hotel itself has that slightly worn-in feel that comes with being genuinely lived-in rather than sterile. The lobby’s got this mix of traditional Azerbaijani patterns and modern furniture that somehow works, though I’ll admit the elevator can be a bit temperamental – just give it a second if it doesn’t respond right away. What I really appreciated was how the staff actually knew the neighborhood. When I asked about getting to the Flame Towers without dealing with Baku’s notorious traffic, the desk clerk gave me this whole route using side streets that saved me probably 20 minutes. That’s the kind of local knowledge you can’t fake.

The rooms are… well, they’re honest rooms. Clean, functional, with decent air conditioning (crucial during Baku’s sweltering summers), though the Wi-Fi can get spotty on higher floors. The 7.3 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it does what it promises without any nasty surprises. I actually liked that the windows aren’t completely soundproof because you get these authentic city sounds – the call to prayer from nearby mosques, the occasional clatter of the old Soviet-era trams, kids playing football in the courtyard across the street. It feels real, you know? Plus, parking isn’t the nightmare it is closer to the city center, and there’s this little bakery two blocks down that makes proper fresh bread every morning around 7 AM. The smell drifts through the neighborhood and honestly became my favorite alarm clock.

  Otelin konumu, odalarının rahatlığı, sıcaklığı beni valeh etdi. Sabah kahvaltısı çok mükkəmməldi və tam saatində odaya servis edildi. Özelikle Tacir bey bize çok yardımcı oldu. Odaların temizliyi ve konfortu çok güzəldi. Bən bu otelə hayran kaldım. Ücretsiz WIFI, odada bütün rahatlıq, tellik, havlular hepsi yerli yerindeydi. Özellikle otelin şehirin göbeyinde yerleşmesi beni çox memnun etdi, metro stasionlarına, toplu taşıma araçlarına yakınlığı, yürüme mesafesinin merkeze 3 dakika olması şok mükəmməldi. Arakadaşlarıma bu otele tavsiye ederim.

  Rude owner had given my booked rooms to someone else. The whole property was full. Had to leave and book another amazing hotel 100 times better than this. The owner was really rude and asked me to cancel the booking from my side and to cite that I had changed plans and in turn hide his poor management and greed
