You know what struck me first about this place? The name – Family, Fresh, Fascinating – sounds like something lost in translation, but honestly, it kind of works once you’re actually there. I mean, it’s sitting right on Sabit Orujov Street, which locals just call “that quiet street behind the main drag,” and that’s exactly the vibe you get.

The thing about Baku is that you’ve got these pockets of calm tucked away from all the oil money glitz, and this hotel found one of them. It’s got that solid 4-star feel without trying too hard – you know, marble in the lobby but not the kind that echoes every footstep, decent-sized rooms with those heavy curtains that actually block out the morning sun (trust me, you’ll appreciate this after a late night exploring the Old City). The staff genuinely seems to care, which is refreshing. Check-in was smooth, no weird deposit drama, and they knew enough English to handle my terrible attempt at asking about the nearest pharmacy.

What really works here is the neighborhood feel. You’re maybe a 15-minute walk to Fountain Square if you cut through the side streets – and I’d recommend doing that rather than taking the main road because you’ll stumble across these little tea houses that tourists never find. The hotel sits in this residential area where you hear actual life happening – kids playing in courtyards, old men arguing about football, the call to prayer drifting over from the nearby mosque. It’s not quiet exactly, but it’s real Baku noise, not traffic chaos. Parking was surprisingly easy too, which anyone who’s driven in this city will tell you is basically a miracle. The rooms face different directions, so if you’re sensitive to street noise, just ask for something facing the back courtyard when you book. I stayed there during shoulder season in April, and honestly, it felt like having the place mostly to myself – the breakfast room was never crowded, and you could actually have a conversation with the front desk staff instead of waiting in line behind tour groups. The 8.8 rating makes sense once you factor in the price point and location. It’s not trying to compete with those massive Flame Tower hotels, but for what it is – a comfortable base where you can decompress between exploring the UNESCO sites and the modern city – it delivers exactly what you’d want.

We stayed in it. It was a very wonderful stay, and I want to repeat that experience again. I strongly recommend him.

  It's an amazing big house which I rented with my sister and 3 my children for 18 days. It was a perfect rest time for all of us. There were a big hall with conditioner, a bedroom with big bed and a big wardrobe, bathroom with shower and toilet, a kitchen with a lot of kitchen utensils and a washing machine on the 1st floor. We used washing machine every day. There were 3 bedrooms with 5 beds on the 2nd floor. There are a lot of fruits in a beautiful garden near the house. We could make a barbecue in the garden and have sunbathes. Also there is a possibility to park a car. A host met us in the airport at 5.a.m., bought us some big bottles of water. Then we bought water to drink in the shop or drank boiled water. We used Bolt app to take a taxi. The nearest shop is in 50meters, but we bought all food in Grandmart using taxi (2manat). Every day we went to the sea by taxi (2.5manat in availability). We went to a free beach in Novhany. It was good for children as the sea is not deep for 100m. We went for a walk to Sumgait (7manat 15minutes), and to Baku(13manat 50minutes). As we were in Azerbaijan more than 15 days, we went to Sumgait with the host to Immigration office to prolong time of our official stay in Azerbaijan. It was absolutely safely to leave expensive things in the house as the house is situated in the prosperous area where people live with wealth. The host speaks English well, his parents speak Russian well. They gave us a national bread and barbecue meat in the first our day. We asked them all questions we had. So I took a great pleasure to know such kind and friendly people. Thanks a lot for their fantastic house, help and hospitality.

  الفيلا جميلة جدا واسعة وجديدة عباره عن 5 غرف بها كل مستلزمات الحياه .. مطبخ غسالة ثلاجة مكان طاولة كي الملابس .. خارج المنزل يوجد حديقة بها بعض الفاكهة التفاح التوت العنب .
  صاحب الفيلا شخص طيب جدا ومتعاون ويحب المساعدة .. كان يتصل بي إن كنت أحتاج إلى اي شي وعائلتة لطيفة جدا .. انصح به بشدة ..
