You know what caught me off guard about East? I honestly wasn’t expecting much from a hotel tucked away in the Badamdar area – I mean, it’s not exactly where most tourists end up – but this place completely changed my perspective on staying outside Baku’s city center. The moment you walk in, there’s this clean, modern vibe that feels almost Scandinavian, which is refreshing after dealing with some of the more… let’s say “character-filled” accommodations elsewhere in the city.

The location in Massiv1 is actually pretty clever once you get the hang of it. Sure, you’re not stumbling distance from the Old City, but here’s the thing – you’re away from all that tourist chaos and honestly, the Uber rides into central Baku are cheap and quick (usually about 15 minutes unless traffic’s being ridiculous). What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. Like, properly quiet. No honking horns at 2 AM, no construction sounds at dawn – just peace. The staff clearly knows their stuff too; they had restaurant recommendations I’d never heard of that turned out to be absolute gems, and they sorted out my early check-in without any of that “policy doesn’t allow” nonsense you get at chain hotels.

The rooms themselves feel bigger than most places in this price range, and – this might sound weird – but the shower pressure is actually fantastic. I’ve stayed in five-star places in Baku where the water barely trickles out, so this was a pleasant surprise. The Wi-Fi works properly (tested it on video calls), and there’s decent soundproofing between rooms. I will say the area around the hotel is still developing, so don’t expect a ton of walking-distance dining options, but there’s a decent market nearby if you need basics. The whole setup feels like they really thought about what business travelers and longer-stay visitors actually need, rather than just throwing together generic hotel amenities. With that 9.2 rating, I get it – this isn’t just marketing fluff, it’s earned through those little details that make a stay genuinely comfortable rather than just tolerable.

  East Apartment in Baku was absolutely perfect for our family stay! The place is super spacious, clean, and very kid- and family-friendly. What truly made our stay special was the host – he was like a superhero! He speaks English very well and treated us not like guests, but like his own friends. Such kindness and hospitality are rare. InshAllah, whenever we come back to Baku, we will definitely stay here again..

  宽敞明亮干净，厨房设备齐全。附近有银行、超市，生活方便。离公交车站300米左右，去老城十分方便。老板热情大方，开着车带我熟悉周边环境，并给了我一张公交卡，帮我充好值，真像朋友一样。

  Это лучший вариант размещения в соотношении цена/качество. Достаточно просторная квартира, в которой имеется всё необходимое: оборудованная кухня, стиральная машинка, два санузла, две спальни и большая кухня-гостиная. До центра минут 10-15 на такси, также рядом автобусная остановка. В округе много продуктовых магазинов.
  Парвиз – отличный хозяин, во всем поможет. Очень ему за всё благодарны.

  Отличная квартира, расположенная не очень далеко от центра города. Рядом остановка автобуса, поэтому в город можно без проблем добраться на общественном транспорте.
  Также рядом находится большой супермаркет со всем необходимым, несколько магазинов с алкоголем, пекарня и несколько кафе.
  Сама квартира просторная, чистая, хозяин гостеприимный.
  
  What could be improved: В квартире не было растительного масла, соли, сахара и стирального порошка. Если вы собираетесь готовить, это может стать проблемой, потому что вам придётся всё это приобрести, что не очень удобно, если вы путешествуете налегке и заселяетесь всего на несколько ночей.
  Также нужно купить свой стиральный порошок.
