Sea Pearl Hotel Overview
So I’ve stayed at the Sea Pearl Hotel a handful of times now, and honestly, it’s one of those places that grows on you. First time I pulled up to Badamdar şossesi, I wasn’t sure what to expect – the area’s got this interesting mix of old Baku charm and newer developments, and the Sea Pearl sits right in that sweet spot where you’re close enough to everything but not drowning in tourist crowds.
The thing about this place is it actually feels like a proper 4-star without trying too hard, you know? The lobby has this warm, understated elegance – none of that over-the-top marble nonsense you see at some hotels. Check-in is usually pretty smooth (though I’d avoid arriving during those big oil conference weeks when half of Houston seems to descend on the city). The rooms are solid – not huge, but thoughtfully laid out with decent soundproofing, which matters because Badamdar can get a bit lively in the evenings. I particularly appreciate that they’ve got blackout curtains that actually work, something you don’t realize you miss until you’re trying to sleep past sunrise.
What really sets the Sea Pearl apart, though, is its location awareness. You’re genuinely close to some fantastic local spots that most tourists never find – there’s this incredible bakery about a ten-minute walk down the street where locals queue up for fresh bread, and you can easily catch a marshrutka into the Old City without dealing with the main tourist routes. The staff seem to get this too; they’ll give you actual directions to places rather than just pointing you toward the usual suspects. Parking can be a bit tight during busy periods, but there’s street parking that’s relatively safe, and the front desk guys know the neighborhood well enough to suggest alternatives. The restaurant downstairs does solid Azerbaijani dishes – not groundbreaking, but authentic enough that you’ll see local families eating there on weekends, which is always a good sign. Breakfast is decent, though it leans heavily toward local preferences, so don’t expect a massive Western buffet spread. The 7.6 rating feels about right – it’s a reliable, comfortable stay that won’t blow your mind but won’t disappoint either, especially considering the price point for this part of Baku.

Reviews of Sea Pearl Hotel
Superb – Habib from Pakistan – 30 June 2025 (9/10)
We stayed at this property for a week almost and had very good experience. The staff is extremely cooperative and responsive to guests requirements. The housekeeping was particularly very efficient and ensured changing bedsheets shampoo bottles and water on daily basis. The room and bathroom was quite spacious, well maintained. The view from our room was beautiful. Good value for money.
What could be improved: As explained above there was nothing that we didn't like.Hotel is clean and comfortable. – Ishari from United Arab Emirates – 19 June 2025 (9/10)
The hotel location is perfect, and the room is very comfortable and clean. The neighborhood area was good, and there were many shops where we enjoyed our stay.
What could be improved: We didn’t get the chance to use the swimming pool, as access was very limited. It’s located in a different building, and unfortunately, communication with the club receptionist was unsuccessful. As a result, we were unable to benefit from it at all.It was a pleasant experience. – Syeda from India – 7 May 2025 (9/10)
