So here’s the thing about CLODİ House – it’s one of those places that looks impressive on paper with its five-star rating, but when you actually show up on Rəşid Behbudov Street, the reality is a bit more… well, let’s just say it’s complicated. I mean, don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely a solid choice in Nasimi, but you know how sometimes a hotel tries really hard to be luxurious and doesn’t quite nail every detail? That’s kind of the vibe here.

The location is actually pretty smart though – Rəşid Behbudov Street puts you right in the heart of things without being stuck in the absolute chaos of downtown Baku. You’re close enough to walk to the main attractions (the Old City is maybe a 15-minute taxi ride), but far enough that you’re not dealing with constant traffic noise at night. The Nasimi district has this interesting mix of Soviet-era buildings and newer developments, so you get a real feel for how Baku is evolving. There’s a decent bakery just down the street that locals hit up for fresh bread in the mornings – honestly, their lavash is better than what the hotel serves at breakfast.

What I found interesting is how the staff really tries to make the five-star experience work, even when the infrastructure doesn’t always cooperate. The lobby has this grand marble thing going on, very Azerbaijani-meets-modern-European, but then you’ll notice little things like the elevators being a bit slow or the wifi cutting out in certain rooms. The housekeeping is thorough though – they actually pay attention to details like restocking the tea service properly (and they stock good local tea, not just generic international brands). Check-in was smooth enough, though I’d recommend arriving after 3 PM because they seem to run behind on room prep earlier in the day. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle – there’s space, but navigating the entrance requires some patience, especially if you’re driving something larger than a compact car. The whole area gets pretty quiet after 10 PM, which is great if you’re the type who needs absolute silence to sleep, but it might feel a bit too subdued if you’re looking for nightlife right at your doorstep. For what it’s worth, the 7-point-something rating seems about right – it’s a respectable place that delivers most of what it promises, just with enough quirks to keep it interesting.

  Oh what should I say PLEASE don’t book this property .. it will ruin your trip and family mood. It is a worst property I have ever seen. Owner will give a dirty property with a bad smell that even you have to move to another hotel instead. They will never refund you the money and block you over WhatsApp or calls
