You know what hit me first about this place? Walking into the CASPIAN Sea View apartment, I actually stopped mid-step because the view through those floor-to-ceiling windows is just… wow. I mean, you’re right there on Uzeyir Hajibeyov street in Sabayil, and honestly, this might be one of the best-positioned apartments I’ve stayed in around Baku’s waterfront area.

The thing about this Bakuapart property is that it feels like someone’s really nice home rather than a typical hotel setup. The kitchen is actually functional – I’m talking full-size fridge, decent counter space, proper cookware that doesn’t look like it came from a discount bin. Which is perfect because there’s this little market just down the street where locals shop (you’ll spot it by the red awning), and picking up some fresh bread and cheese for breakfast while watching ships move across the Caspian became my morning ritual. The apartment itself is spacious in that satisfying way where you can spread out your stuff without tripping over suitcases, and the decor strikes this nice balance between modern and cozy – not too sterile, not too cluttered.

What really sets this place apart though is the location knowledge you get just by being here. You’re walking distance from the Old City walls, but more importantly, you’re in the heart of where Baku actually lives and breathes. That perfect rating of 10 honestly makes sense when you factor in little things like how quiet it gets at night (the street faces the water, so less traffic noise), how the building’s elevator actually works reliably, and how responsive the Bakuapart team is when you need something. I had a minor issue with the Wi-Fi on day two, and someone was up to fix it within an hour – no runaround, no “we’ll get to it tomorrow.” The bathroom has this rainfall shower head that actually has decent water pressure, which… if you’ve traveled much in this region, you know that’s not always a given. One small thing to note: the air conditioning works great, but it’s one of those units where you need to figure out the remote – took me about ten minutes of button pressing, but once you get it, you’re golden. During summer months, you’ll definitely want it since the afternoon sun can warm up that gorgeous window area pretty intensely.
