The building itself has this solid, unpretentious vibe that I really appreciated. It’s a proper 4-star setup without trying too hard to be flashy, which honestly fits Baku perfectly. The lobby’s got that clean, modern feel but doesn’t scream “international chain hotel” – more like someone put actual thought into making it comfortable rather than just Instagram-worthy. Check-in was surprisingly smooth (I was expecting the usual post-Soviet bureaucracy nightmare, but nope), and the staff genuinely seemed to know the neighborhood well. When I asked about getting to the Old City, the guy at reception didn’t just point me toward expensive taxis – he actually explained the bus routes and mentioned which streets to avoid during rush hour.

The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star place, nothing revolutionary but definitely comfortable. What I loved was how quiet it stays at night, even though you’re right in the middle of a living, breathing neighborhood. The windows actually block out the street noise pretty well, and honestly, there’s something nice about hearing the occasional call to prayer mixed with regular city sounds instead of just tourist chatter. The Wi-Fi worked reliably (always a gamble in this part of the world), and the shower had proper hot water pressure – look, these things matter when you’ve been walking around Baku all day. The 8.2 rating makes total sense to me because it delivers exactly what it promises without any nasty surprises. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but everything just… works. Plus, you’re actually well-positioned to explore both the modern city center and the older districts without spending half your day in transit. If you want to experience Baku like someone who lives here rather than just checking off tourist boxes, this is honestly a pretty smart choice.

  This hotel is brand new, so everything was nice and tidy. Staff was extremely friendly and willing to help. Very approachable to a guest’s needs.
  
  What could be improved: The only downside was that there was no restaurant on site and the breakfast was served from 8 in the morning which is a little bit late if you have to get up earlier for your businesses needs.

Told everywhere closed but I found a really nice restaurant 100 metres from hotel. I asked to get a taxi after waiting half an hour they told me taxis don’t come up here. Also the hotel was a good 2km walk to the centre all up hill coming back
