Apartment TESUTT Overview
Honestly, when I first saw the address on Nizami Street, I wasn’t sure what to expect from Apartment TESUTT – the name alone had me scratching my head. But you know what? Sometimes the best places have the weirdest names, and this spot in Sabayil really surprised me in the best way possible.
The thing about staying on Nizami is that you’re right in the thick of things without feeling like you’re camping in Times Square, if that makes sense. I mean, it’s definitely got that urban energy – you’ll hear the occasional car horn and street chatter – but it’s not the kind of place where you’re lying awake at 2 AM wondering if that’s construction noise or just very enthusiastic neighbors. The building itself sits pretty well back from the main drag, which actually helps with the noise situation. What I really loved was how easy it was to grab authentic Azerbaijani breakfast from the little spots nearby (there’s this place about two blocks down that does incredible qutab), then walk off the carbs exploring the Old City walls, which are honestly just a nice 15-minute stroll away.
The apartment itself – well, it’s got that five-star rating for a reason, though I’d say it earns it more through thoughtful touches than flashy amenities. The space feels genuinely lived-in rather than sterile, with local artwork that doesn’t look like it was bulk-ordered from a hotel supply catalog. Check-in was surprisingly smooth for what’s essentially an apartment rental – someone actually met me there and walked me through everything, including the quirky shower controls (trust me, you’ll want that explanation). The kitchen was properly stocked too, not just the usual sad collection of mismatched plates and dull knives you usually get. I actually ended up cooking a few meals because the nearby Teze Bazaar had such incredible produce, and it felt natural to bring stuff back and make dinner while watching the sunset from the windows. The Wi-Fi held up fine for video calls back home, and there’s decent parking nearby if you’re brave enough to drive in Baku traffic – though honestly, you probably won’t need a car much from this location. It’s one of those places where you feel like you’re getting a genuine taste of how people actually live in this part of the city, rather than just passing through in a tourist bubble.

Reviews of Apartment TESUTT
Good – Sasa from Estonia – 20 July 2025 (7/10)
Overall, we had a very pleasant stay in Baku and enjoyed it very much. – Rustam from Tajikistan – 18 July 2025 (7/10)
The location was very convenient and accessible to everything we needed. The apartment seemed was renovated recently and everything worked very well like the TV, Internet, air conditioners, kitchen appliances, fridge, washing machine, iron, microwave, stove. and deashes. Besides, clean bed sheets and towels were provided. The place was pretty quiet despite it is located in the busiest and crowded touristic center.
What could be improved: If we close our eyes on few flaws, overall, everything went smoothly. Despite all the issues that we had about the apartment, we were met by a very nice, pleasant, polite and friendly lady, Nargiz who brought us the keys and was very supportive. She kindly explained the situation and for that reason we agreed to firstly look at the apartment and then decide whether to stay there or not. Since we spent most of our time outdoor touring the city and returning to the apartment late evenings just to overnight, we closed our eyes on those small issues.
