Honestly, when I first pulled up to 32 Xocalı prospekti, I wasn’t sure what to expect – the street looks pretty ordinary from the outside, but that’s kind of the beauty of this place. You’re literally in the heart of Nasimi district, which means you can walk to pretty much everything that matters in Baku without dealing with the crazy traffic around Fountains Square (trust me on this one).

The apartment itself is… well, it’s actually impressive. I mean, calling it a “luxury apartment” isn’t just marketing speak here – the finishes are genuinely nice, and you can tell someone put real thought into the layout. The kitchen has everything you’d actually want to use, not just the bare minimum most places throw in. What really got me though was stepping out onto the balcony in the evening – you get these glimpses of the Caspian between the buildings, and honestly, the whole city just spreads out in front of you. The sound situation is pretty good too, considering you’re right in the center. Sure, you’ll hear some street noise during the day, but it quiets down nicely at night.

Location-wise, this is where the place really shines. You’re maybe a ten-minute walk from the Old City walls, and if you need to grab groceries or just want to people-watch, there’s this great little market area just a few blocks down Xocalı prospekti that most tourists never find. The metro station isn’t far either – actually super handy if you want to check out the suburbs or head to the airport without paying crazy taxi prices. I found myself just wandering the neighborhood in the mornings, grabbing coffee from the local spots where they know how to make it strong (you know what I mean). The host was pretty responsive too – not overly chatty, but available when I needed something, which is exactly what you want. Look, Baku can be overwhelming if you’re not familiar with it, but staying here puts you right where you need to be without feeling like you’re stuck in some sterile hotel bubble. It’s the kind of place where you actually feel like you’re living in the city for a few days, not just passing through.
