You know what struck me first about Two Seasons? It’s tucked away on this quiet stretch of Sabir Street in Sabayil, and honestly, you’d walk right past it if you weren’t looking. But that’s actually part of its charm – it feels like you’ve discovered something the masses haven’t figured out yet. The building itself has this understated elegance that fits perfectly with old Baku’s character, and when you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually thought about every detail. I mean, the lobby smells like subtle cedar and coffee, not that generic hotel air freshener you get everywhere else. The staff genuinely seems happy to see you too, which – let’s be real – doesn’t always happen at boutique places where they can get a bit too cool for school.

What really sets this place apart is how it balances being properly luxurious without feeling stuffy. The rooms are spacious by European standards (you can actually open your suitcase without doing gymnastics around the bed), and they’ve got these beautiful hardwood floors that somehow don’t creak when you’re trying to sneak to the bathroom at 3am. The bathrooms are particularly well done – marble that doesn’t feel cold, and water pressure that actually works, which anyone who’s traveled in this region will appreciate. Location-wise, you’re perfectly positioned to explore the Old City on foot, and it’s maybe a ten-minute walk to the waterfront promenade along the Caspian. The neighborhood gets pretty quiet after dinner, so if you’re someone who needs dead silence to sleep, you’ll love it here.

Here’s the thing that really impressed me though – they seem to understand that travelers aren’t just looking for a bed and WiFi anymore. The concierge actually knows the city (shocking, I know) and gave me restaurant recommendations that weren’t just the obvious tourist spots. When I mentioned I was interested in seeing some Soviet-era architecture, the guy at reception drew me a little walking map and pointed out a couple buildings I never would have noticed otherwise. Check-in was seamless, parking is handled without drama if you’re driving, and they’ve got this small but perfectly curated breakfast spread that changes daily. It’s the kind of place where you end up extending your stay if you can – which I actually did, bumping my two nights to four because I just didn’t want to deal with the hassle of finding somewhere else that got the details right. With a 9.3 rating, I expected good things, but Two Seasons actually delivered on the promise without any of that “boutique hotel attitude” you sometimes encounter.

  This is a wonderful hotel in the heart of the Old City in Baku. My room on the top floor was very quiet (I'm a light sleeper and appreciate that the hotel staff could accommodate my request), spacious, and comfortable. It was for the first time that I had a soft mattress, which my back appreciated.
  Shower had a great water pressure, toiletries (shampoo and shower get), towels were pristine white. Sink was convenient and of descent size.
  Breakfast was wonderful with a variety of choices: jams, honey, yogurt; two varieties of hard cheeses and 3-4 of soft (spreadable) cheeses. Eggs (boiled, omelette), white bread, sausage, a huge heap of herbs with a cucumber and tomato, cookies, sweets, and hot/cold drinks. It was truly filling. And Azer will make sure that you are happy with your breakfast.
  The biggest asset and value of this hotel is its staff–Azer and another lad whose name, unfortunately, I didn't inquire about. Both are so incredibly helpful, considerate, and kind individuals. The first guy carried my luggage to the top floor of hotel (this being the Old city recognized as UNESCO heritage site, installation of elevators is not allowed/possible). Upon check out, Azer, for instance, volunteered to help me out as I was moving from hotel to a nearby rental apartment. He carried my 20kg luggage from the top floor of the hotel and then for a nearly half kilometer to the new location. This is unbelievably kind and wonderful service. Azer, you are the kindest person that I have encountered during my 30 years of international travel. If I come back to Baku, I'm, without a doubt, staying in this hotel. Thank you, thank you so very much for making my stay in Baku so wonderful!

  I loved their professionalism towards family guests, All of the staff was quit supportive and helping in all aspects,
  SPECIALLY #Azer, he helped us to check in earlier then our booking time, helped us to shift our luggage, Airport shuttle arrangements, locations of nice hotels for family dinning.
  I was therewith the kids, wgo are really naughty, but they dealt with us with great patience and treated them with kindness.
  We really felt like, we are at home. No strange feelings at all.

  The English breakfast each morning was a delight—fresh, tasty, and beautifully served. The hotel’s attention to cleanliness and comfort really stood out, making it feel like a home away from home.
