What really got me though was how quiet it stays despite being so central – I mean, you’re on a residential street, so you’re not dealing with the chaos of the main boulevards, but everything you need is right there. The nearest metro station is close enough that you don’t need to think about taxis unless you’re feeling lazy.

The apartment itself feels like someone actually lives there, if that makes sense. It’s not that sterile hotel vibe where everything looks like it came from the same furniture catalog. The kitchen is properly equipped – I’m talking real coffee maker, decent knives, enough counter space to actually cook if you want to hit up the local markets. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious, and honestly, the water pressure was better than my place back home. There’s this attention to detail that you don’t always get – like, proper blackout curtains (thank god, because Baku summers mean the sun is up ridiculously early), and the WiFi actually works throughout the entire space, not just in one corner of the living room. I spent a few mornings working from the little dining area, and it was actually pretty perfect for that.

The whole check-in process was smooth too – no awkward key exchanges or waiting around in lobbies. The host responds quickly to messages, which is huge when you’re figuring out a new city. They also left some really practical local tips, not just the tourist stuff but actual useful information about which grocery stores stay open late and where to get decent khachapuri at 2 AM (essential knowledge, honestly).

What really sealed it for me was the vibe of the neighborhood itself. You’ve got local cafés where people are actually from Baku, not just tourist spots, and there’s this great little bakery two blocks over that opens early and smells incredible. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re experiencing the real city but you’re not struggling to find anything familiar when you need it. I’d definitely book this place again – it’s one of those stays where you actually feel settled instead of just temporarily housed.
