Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Sea Breeze Resort – you know how these fancy places can sometimes be all flash and no substance. But walking into that lobby, with the Caspian breeze actually carrying through the space and the soft sound of water features mixing with distant conversations, I realized this place gets it right.

What really struck me was how they’ve managed to capture that authentic Azerbaijani hospitality without making it feel forced or touristy. The staff genuinely seemed to care about the details – I mean, they remembered my coffee preference after day two, and when I mentioned I was interested in the local art scene, the concierge (Rashad, I think his name was) actually sketched out a little walking route to some galleries in the Old City that weren’t in any guidebook I’d seen. The rooms are something else too – mine faced the Caspian, and honestly, watching the sunrise over the water while sipping tea on that private balcony became my daily ritual. The design feels distinctly local but refined, with these beautiful traditional carpets and modern touches that actually complement each other instead of competing.

You know what impressed me most though? The little things that show they understand travelers. The WiFi actually works everywhere (crucial when you’re trying to navigate Baku’s winding streets), there’s a proper business center that’s quiet and well-lit, and – this might sound weird – but the shower pressure is incredible, which matters more than you’d think after long days exploring the Flame Towers and wandering through Icherisheher. The restaurant serves this amazing plov that rivals what I had at family places in the old town, and their breakfast spread includes both international options and local specialties that change based on what’s seasonal. I also loved that the pool area never felt overcrowded, even during what the staff told me was their busy season – they’ve designed the space so there are these quiet corners where you can actually relax and read. The location works perfectly too; you’re close enough to hear the energy of the city but far enough from the main traffic arteries that nights are genuinely peaceful. If you’re someone who appreciates thoughtful hospitality and wants to experience Baku from a base that feels both luxurious and authentically connected to the place, Sea Breeze delivers in ways that surprised me.

  Курорт расположен в 30 минутах от аэропорта и Баку. Интересное место: современно, просторно, огромная ухоженная территория, много активностей для взрослых и детей, хорошие рестораны. Апартаменты оборудованы всем необходимым, рядом супермаркет, несколько раз готовили ужин сами. Хозяева апартаментов приветливы, всегда на связи, помогали с решением различных вопросов.
