Look, I’ll be honest – when I first rolled up to Park Azure 0523 on Afiyəddin Cəlilov street, I wasn’t expecting much from the name alone. I mean, what kind of hotel name is that, right? But you know what actually caught me off guard? This place has serious character tucked away in what feels like a proper Baku neighborhood, not some touristy bubble.

The location is actually pretty clever if you know the city at all. You’re close enough to the old town that you can walk there without breaking a sweat, but far enough from the main drag that you’re not dealing with crowds of tour groups tramping around at 7 AM. The staff seemed genuinely surprised when I mentioned I’d heard good things – apparently they don’t get a ton of international visitors yet, which honestly works in your favor. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that overly formal hotel theater some places put you through. The lobby has this understated elegance thing going on, sort of modern but not trying too hard to impress, if that makes sense.

What really got me was the attention to small details that you don’t usually see at a 4-star place. The room I stayed in faced away from the street, so it was actually quiet at night – and trust me, that matters in Baku where traffic doesn’t really follow normal patterns. The bathroom had this rainfall showerhead that worked properly (you’d be amazed how often that’s not the case), and honestly, the water pressure was better than my apartment back home. I noticed they stock local toiletries too, which is a nice touch instead of generic international brands. The bed was firm in that good European way, not the marshmallow softness some American chains go for.

Here’s something I appreciated – the windows actually open, so you can get fresh air instead of being trapped in recycled AC all day. From the upper floors, you get glimpses of the Caspian if you crane your neck a bit, though I wouldn’t call it a sea view exactly. The neighborhood comes alive in the evenings with locals heading to nearby cafes, and there’s this great little bakery about two blocks down that opens ridiculously early if you’re the type who needs proper bread with breakfast.

Parking was surprisingly hassle-free, which anyone who’s driven in Baku will tell you is basically a minor miracle. The hotel has its own small lot, and the night security guy actually remembered my car after the first day – small thing, but it made the place feel more personal somehow. I did notice the elevators are a bit slow, but honestly, that just gave me time to check messages without feeling rushed.

The whole experience felt authentic in a way that’s getting harder to find. This isn’t trying to be the flashiest hotel in the city, but it gets the fundamentals right and then some. If you’re looking for a place that feels like it belongs in the neighborhood rather than floating above it, Park Azure is worth considering. Just don’t expect them to hold your hand through every tourist attraction – they’ll point you in the right direction, but they assume you can figure things out, which I kind of liked.

  Квартира большая, светлая, с высокими потолками и окнами в пол. Есть все удобства, особенно порадовали два туалета, у нас дома два – идеально))
  Матрас на кровати удобный, подушки можно поплотнее, но это дело вкуса.
  Отдельная благодарность хозяйке квартиры: всегда поможет и подскажет. Доброжелательность всегда ценна!
  В ванной комнате и санузле были даже мини-наборы шампунь+кондиционер+мыло, как в отеле. Порадовал тёплый пол в ванной комнате.
  Кухня оснащена всем необходимым. Мы были с маленьким ребёнком до года, иногда готовили что-то, всё удобно.
  Расположение дома оказалось хорошим, хотя не центр города. До центра доезжали на такси и несколько раз ходили с коляской пешком вдоль набережной. На первом этаже дома есть супермаркет.
  В любом месте проживания есть, к чему придраться, смотря на что делать акцент, но нам всё понравилось, вернёмся в Баку именно в эту квартиру!

  Высокие потолки , чистая мебель , пастельное белье из хлопка ( что немаловажно) удобный матрас , окна блестят, всё необходимое есть, очень уютно и приятная аура в квартире

  Очень отзывчивая хозяйка, во всем помогает, подскажет, посоветует. Чистая, уютная, просторная квартира. Шторы блэкаут, можно спокойно поспать в обед. Проживали 7 дней и хотели остаться ещё. Будем ещё раз в Баку, вернёмся сюда
