Olive Garden Baku Hotel Overview
You know what caught me off guard about the Olive Garden Baku Hotel? It’s actually got this surprisingly sophisticated vibe despite being tucked away on Salyan Highway – which, let’s be honest, isn’t exactly the most glamorous stretch of road in Baku. I mean, you’re about 15 minutes from the Old City if traffic’s cooperating, but there’s something refreshing about being slightly removed from all the tourist chaos around Icherisheher.
The lobby hits you with this warm, olive-toned color scheme (clever, right?) and honestly, the staff seems genuinely happy to see you rather than just going through the motions. Check-in was smooth – they actually remembered I’d mentioned arriving late when I called ahead, which doesn’t happen everywhere. The rooms are what I’d call “thoughtfully designed” rather than flashy. Clean lines, decent-sized bathrooms, and the beds are actually comfortable, not just hotel-firm. The 7.6 rating makes sense because while everything works well, you’re not getting marble countertops or those fancy rainfall showers. But here’s the thing – the Wi-Fi is solid throughout the building, the AC doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing, and the blackout curtains actually block out the morning sun from the Caspian side.
What really won me over was the breakfast situation and the little details that show someone’s paying attention. The morning spread has proper local choices alongside the usual continental stuff – they do this amazing fresh bread that’s still warm at 8 AM, and the tea service is done right, not just some sad bags in lukewarm water. The location grows on you too, especially if you’re planning to explore beyond the city center. You’re practically next door to the Bibi-Heybat Mosque area, and getting to Heydar Aliyev Airport is a breeze without dealing with downtown traffic. Plus, there’s decent parking – and trust me, if you’re driving in Baku, that matters more than you think. The neighborhood gets surprisingly quiet at night, which is perfect if you’re trying to recover from jet lag or just want to actually sleep. Sure, it’s not going to wow anyone looking for Instagram-worthy luxury, but for travelers who want a reliable base that doesn’t feel sterile or cookie-cutter, this place delivers. The staff genuinely seems to care about whether you’re finding what you need in the city, and that kind of local insight is worth more than fancy amenities sometimes.

Excellent Stay at Olive Garden Baku
I had a wonderful experience at Olive Garden Baku. The hotel is very quiet and clean, with no unpleasant odors. The staff were extremely polite, professional, and helpful throughout our stay. One of the highlights was the beautiful sea view from the hotel — very relaxing and peaceful.
Swimming at the nearby beach was a truly enjoyable experience. The beach itself is clean and calm, perfect for a relaxing day. There are restaurants and a supermarket close by, although you need to cross a main highway to reach the beach and dining spots.
The Wi-Fi was exceptionally fast, and the receptionist welcomed us warmly with great hospitality. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Baku.

We often travel with our family and an important component of any trip is comfort and human attitude from the hotel administration. Choosing this hotel was the best decision. Comfort, delicious food and most importantly the attitude towards each guest is at the highest level. Special thanks to Aysel and Ruslan for the warm welcome and all kinds of help in different situations. And the chef Ulya will prepare incredibly delicious dishes according to your wishes. We hope that we will spend our next vacation in your hotel.

What could be improved: Location a little far away from city center. Breakfast with limited options only. Wifi in room 205 is spotty.
