What’s great is that while you’re in the thick of all the historical sites, you’re also just a short walk from the Caspian Sea waterfront. The couples who stay here seem to get it — there’s something romantic about wandering these ancient streets together, especially in the evening when the tour groups have gone home.

The Rooms

My room was on the third floor, and I’ll be honest — it wasn’t the largest space I’ve ever stayed in, but it felt thoughtfully designed. The windows looked out over the old city walls, which was pretty spectacular, especially at sunset. I found myself just wandering the streets after dinner, discovering little courtyards and architectural details that you’d never notice if you were just visiting for a few hours.
