The location is pretty perfect if you ask me – you’re right in the thick of Sabayil district, which means you can walk to most of the Old City stuff without dealing with Baku’s traffic (and trust me, you want to avoid that mess during rush hour). The building itself has this solid, lived-in feel that somehow manages to be both residential and hotel-like at the same time.

What really works here is how they’ve nailed that sweet spot between having your own space and getting proper hotel service. The apartments – and they actually feel like apartments, not just big hotel rooms with a kitchenette thrown in – are surprisingly well thought out. I spent a good chunk of time just appreciating how the layout flows, especially in the evening when the light comes through those big windows facing the street. Sure, Nizami can get a bit noisy during the day (it’s a main thoroughfare after all), but it settles down nicely at night, and honestly, the sound of the city becomes kind of comforting after a while. The kitchen setup is actually functional too – I mean, you could legitimately cook a proper meal here if you wanted to, which is rare for hotel accommodations in Baku.

The staff really knows their stuff about the neighborhood, which makes a huge difference when you’re trying to figure out where to eat or how to get around. They’ll point you toward the good spots on Torgovaya Street for dinner, or help you navigate the metro system without making you feel like a complete tourist. Check-in was smooth – no waiting around in some fancy lobby that’s all for show. The whole experience feels more like staying at a well-run guesthouse owned by locals who actually care about the place. I’d definitely come back, especially since finding decent accommodations in central Baku that don’t break the bank or feel completely soulless is honestly pretty challenging. It’s the kind of place where you settle in quickly and start feeling like you know the neighborhood, rather than just passing through it.
