The location is actually pretty brilliant if you know Baku at all. Nasimi district puts you right in the sweet spot – close enough to the Flame Towers that you can see them lighting up at night from some of the windows, but far enough from the tourist chaos that your kids can actually sleep through the night. I mean, you’re literally minutes from both the old city and the modern shopping areas, which is gold when you’re traveling with family and everyone wants to do different things. The building itself sits on a quiet stretch, so you won’t have traffic noise at 6 AM (trust me on this – I’ve made that mistake elsewhere in the city).
What really sold me though was how they’ve thought about the actual living part of staying here. These aren’t just hotel rooms with a kitchenette thrown in – the apartments feel like someone’s well-appointed home that they happen to rent out. Full kitchens with decent appliances (I actually cooked breakfast a few times), separate living areas where the adults can hang out after the kids crash, and honestly, the beds are some of the most comfortable I’ve encountered in Azerbaijan. The bathrooms are modern without being cold, if that makes sense, and there’s this attention to little details – good water pressure, plenty of outlets, actual closet space – that you notice after a day or two. Parking was straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven in Baku will appreciate. The staff speaks solid English and Russian, and they seem genuinely interested in making sure you know your way around the neighborhood rather than just handing you a generic city map.
