Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from HomeBridge Hotel Apartments when I first pulled up on Salian Highway – I mean, highway addresses can be hit or miss, you know? But this place actually surprised me in the best way. It’s one of those spots that feels more like staying in a really well-appointed friend’s apartment than a typical hotel, which makes sense given the name.

The location is pretty clever, actually. You’re on a main road so getting around Baku is straightforward (and trust me, navigation here can be tricky if you don’t know the city), but it’s far enough from the Old City chaos that you can actually sleep at night. I loved being able to walk to some local spots that most tourists never find – there’s this little bakery about two blocks away that does incredible fresh bread in the mornings, and the smell sometimes drifts over if you’re on the right side of the building. The apartment-style setup means you get a proper kitchen, which is honestly a game-changer when you want to grab some of those amazing Azerbaijani pomegranates from the market and not pay hotel restaurant prices for everything.

What really got me was the attention to detail that you don’t usually see at this price point. The check-in was refreshingly smooth – none of that awkward hovering while they figure out their system – and the staff seemed to actually know the neighborhood when I asked about getting to Fountains Square. The rooms have this lived-in comfort that somehow manages to feel both homey and polished. I mean, the bathroom tiles were actually warm in the morning (heated floors, apparently), which sounds minor but felt pretty luxurious when you’re getting ready for a day of sightseeing. The Wi-Fi was solid throughout the apartment, even in the bedroom, which… well, let’s just say that’s not always guaranteed in Baku hotels.

You know what really sealed it for me though? The little touches that show someone was thinking about actual travelers, not just checking boxes. Good blackout curtains that actually block the streetlights, enough electrical outlets that you don’t have to choose between charging your phone and using the hair dryer, and – this might sound weird – but the shower pressure was fantastic. After walking around Baku’s hilly streets all day, that matters more than you’d think. The 9.1 rating makes total sense when you add it all up. It’s not flashy or trying too hard to impress, but everything just works the way it should, which honestly feels pretty special these days.

  Very comfortable hotel, spacious rooms with a kitchen and fridge, very, very clean, quiet, very nice and helpful staff, varied, plentiful breakfast and very nice breakfast service, spacious, guarded car park, hotel close to the beach and a large supermarket.
