The Flame Towers are close enough that you feel connected to modern Baku, but you’re not dealing with all that construction noise and chaos.

What surprised me most was how the apartments actually feel like… well, apartments. Not hotel rooms pretending to be apartments with those weird kitchenettes that nobody uses. These have proper kitchens with full-sized fridges – which is clutch when you discover the amazing produce at Teze Bazar and want to bring half of it home. I did notice the water pressure varies a bit depending on what floor you’re on, but honestly? It’s Azerbaijan, not Switzerland – and even then, it was never actually problematic. Check-in was smooth, they clearly knew the neighborhood well enough to give actual useful recommendations (not just the obvious tourist spots), and when I needed a taxi at 6 AM for an early flight, they had it sorted without any drama.
