I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Elegant Stay in Downtown Baku, I wasn’t expecting much from the name alone (it sounds a bit generic, right?). But walking into this place on Şıxəli Qurbanov street completely changed my perspective. The location is actually perfect if you know Yasamal district at all – you’re right in the thick of things without being stuck in tourist-trap central. The staff at check-in were genuinely welcoming, not that rehearsed hotel smile you get sometimes, and they knew their neighborhood well enough to point me toward the good coffee spots that aren’t marked on any map.

What really got me was how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between modern comfort and local character. The rooms have this understated elegance – think clean lines and quality materials without trying too hard to impress. You know what I mean? The beds are legitimately comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms have proper water pressure, which… well, anyone who’s traveled around this region knows that’s not always a given. The soundproofing is solid too – I could barely hear the street noise, and Baku can get pretty lively, especially on weekends. There’s something about the lighting in the evening that makes the whole place feel warm rather than sterile, probably because they actually thought about it instead of just installing whatever was cheapest.

The breakfast situation deserves a mention – they do this mix of international standards plus local touches that actually works. I mean, you can get your standard eggs and toast, but they also have proper Azerbaijani cheese and honey that tastes like it came from somewhere specific, not a generic supplier. The staff genuinely seem to enjoy working there, which honestly makes such a difference in how a place feels. They’ll chat about the city if you want recommendations, but they’re not pushy about it. Parking was straightforward too, which saved me the headache of circling blocks looking for a spot. The 9.9 rating might seem almost too good to be true, but after staying there, I get it – it’s not flashy or over-the-top, it’s just really well-executed hospitality. If you’re the type who appreciates when a place pays attention to details without making a big show of it, you’ll probably love this spot as much as I did.

  I had an amazing stay at this apartment! It's just 300 meters from Nizami Street and 400 meters from the Old City, making it super convenient for exploring all the key attractions. Everything is within walking distance! The apartment itself is cozy, well-maintained, and offers an amazing view of the city. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for comfort and convenience in Baku!
