Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to the Deluxe City Hotel on Üzeyir Hacıbəyov street – you know how these four-star places can be hit or miss. But walking into that lobby, I actually stopped for a second. There’s this warm lighting that hits just right, and the marble floors don’t echo like crazy the way they do in most hotels. The check-in was smooth too, which I mention because half the places in Baku seem to have some drama with their computer systems. The staff here actually knows what they’re doing.

What really got me though was the location – and I mean this in the best way possible. You’re right in Nasimi district, so you’ve got that perfect balance where you’re close enough to walk to the Flame Towers (maybe 15 minutes if you don’t mind a bit of uphill), but you’re not dealing with all the tourist chaos. The street itself is pretty quiet at night, which is gold if you’re a light sleeper like me. There’s a little café right around the corner that locals go to – not fancy, just good tea and fresh bread in the mornings. During the day, you can hear the city humming, but it’s not overwhelming. Actually, from some of the upper floor rooms, you catch glimpses of the Caspian, which nobody mentions but it’s there.

The rooms themselves feel… well, they feel like someone actually thought about how people live. The beds are firm (thank god), and there’s enough space to open your suitcase without playing Tetris with the furniture. The bathrooms have decent water pressure, and the towels don’t feel like sandpaper – small things, but they matter when you’re tired. I mean, the décor isn’t going to win any design awards, but it’s clean and comfortable, and honestly, that 9.5 rating makes sense once you’ve stayed a night or two. The air conditioning actually works properly, which is crucial during those sweltering Baku summers when the city feels like it’s melting. They’ve got parking too, though it fills up fast during wedding season – apparently this area is popular for celebrations, so weekends can get a bit lively. But even then, it’s more cheerful noise than annoying noise, if that makes sense. The whole experience just feels… reliable, I guess. Like they’ve figured out the basics and do them well.

  Отель полностью оправдал наши ожидания. Все было на высшем уровне: от удобных номеров до отличного сервиса. В этом месте действительно чувствуется уют и комфорт. Завтраки разнообразные, вкусные и свежие. Расположение хорошее — отель находится в тихом районе, но все основные достопримечательности рядом. Персонал внимательный, всегда готов помочь и подсказать. Мы очень довольны!
