Clover Hotel Baku Formula 1 View Overview
Look, I’ll be straight with you about the Clover Hotel Baku Formula 1 View – it’s one of those places where the name actually tells you exactly what you’re getting. Sitting right on Xaqani Avenue in the Nasimi district, this 4-star spot literally has views of the Formula 1 circuit, which is honestly pretty cool if you’re into that sort of thing (and even if you’re not, watching the setup and practice runs from your room beats staring at another concrete building). The location is actually solid – you’re close enough to the Old City that you can walk there in about 15 minutes, but far enough from the tourist crowds that you get a real sense of modern Baku life happening around you.
What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to genuinely know the area. When I asked about getting to the Flame Towers without dealing with crazy traffic, the front desk guy didn’t just point vaguely – he sketched out a route that avoided the worst congestion around Fountain Square and saved me probably 20 minutes each way. The rooms themselves are comfortable without being fancy, and honestly, that 7.4 rating feels about right. It’s not going to blow your mind, but everything works, the AC actually keeps up with Baku’s summer heat, and the beds are decent quality. I mean, you can hear some street noise from Xaqani Avenue, but it dies down after 10 PM most nights, and if you’re here during race season, well… you probably want to hear what’s happening anyway.
Here’s the thing though – this place makes sense for specific types of travelers. If you’re here for business in the newer parts of the city, or you want to be close to the action without paying Flame Towers hotel prices, it hits that sweet spot. The breakfast is actually pretty good (they do this local honey that’s worth trying), and there’s decent parking which, trust me, matters more than you think in this part of Baku. Plus, you’re literally a 5-minute walk from some excellent local restaurants that most tourists never find because they’re stuck in the Old City bubble. The Clover isn’t trying to be the fanciest hotel in Azerbaijan, but it knows what it is – a solid, well-located place where you can base yourself while exploring a fascinating city that’s still figuring out how to balance its oil wealth with its incredible history.

The location
What could be improved: Breakfast was the same every day and had no options to choose from, there also was no coffee. The hotel itself is oldish. No lift and there are two staircases to climb before you get to the reception. Problems with hot water and had to take a cold shower twice.Very good – Sergiug from Moldova – 12 June 2024 (8/10)
Close to the city center. Good breakfast. Good attitude of the staff.
What could be improved: Stairs and no lift – with luggage's and stroller, this would be a bit of a discomfort. During the first day of our stay, we had no hot water – this was fixed the next day. The draining system in the shower needs cleaning and regular maintenance.Had good stay and I recommend it – Akil from Turkey – 21 May 2024 (8/10)

Good sized rooms, clean and excellent location across the street from one of the best restaurants in Baku called Agabala.
