Boutique Hotel Baku Overview

Look, I’ve stayed at my fair share of places in Baku, and honestly, Boutique Hotel Baku surprised me in the best way. It’s tucked away on Alovsat Guliyev Street in Nasimi – which, if you know the area, puts you right in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to everything but not drowning in tourist chaos. The first thing that hit me walking in was how they actually nailed that boutique vibe without trying too hard, you know? The lobby’s got this warm, lived-in elegance that feels more like stepping into a well-traveled friend’s home than some sterile hotel chain.

What really sold me was the attention to detail that you don’t expect from a 4-star place. I mean, the staff actually remembered my name after day one (and not just because they were reading it off a card). The rooms are thoughtfully designed – they’ve got these gorgeous local touches that feel authentic, not like someone ordered “Azerbaijani decor” from a catalog. The bed situation is solid, and honestly, after wandering around Baku’s Old City all day, that mattress was exactly what my back needed. One thing I appreciated was how quiet it stays at night, even though you’re in a pretty active part of the city. The windows do their job, which is more than I can say for some places I’ve crashed in this neighborhood.

The location really works in your favor here – you’re about a fifteen-minute walk to the Flame Towers if you’re feeling touristy, but you’re also close to where actual Bakuvians hang out. There’s this little tea house around the corner that I never would’ve found if the front desk guy hadn’t mentioned it (ask for Rashad if he’s still there – guy knows everything). Parking can be a bit of a dance, like most places in central Baku, but they’ll sort you out if you call ahead. The breakfast spread won’t blow your mind, but it’s fresh and they do a decent job mixing local stuff with what international visitors expect. I actually found myself lingering over coffee there most mornings, just watching the city wake up through those big windows. With an 8.6 rating, it’s clearly hitting the mark for most people, and I get why – it’s one of those places that just works without any drama, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to explore a city like Baku.

  • Superb – Irina from Germany – 26 April 2025 (9/10)

I missed the shelf in the bathroom. Conditioner turned on at night without a reason, and the was a small problem with hot water, but easily solved with the cold turn on. May be the faucet in the sink was a bit old.
    All the rest was super.

  • Ideal location for a city break in Baku – Sarah from United Kingdom – 21 March 2025 (8/10)

This hotel was a great find, super central and had everything we needed. I especially want to thank Isbandiyar on the front desk for helping us to pay for parking! You need a local sim to pay for the on street parking in Baku, which we didn’t have, and he helped us out late night and early morning to make sure we were covered and would not get fined! Isbandiyar went above and beyond and saved us from a lot of hassle! Thank you, you are brilliant!

  • Fantastic stay, glad we are going there again for our last two days in Azerbaijan – Kajal from India – 5 March 2025 (10/10)

The staff was very friendly and helpful, they helped us with our bolt bookings. They even ordered Veg Biryani, twice on wolf app on our request and it was very tasty. They allowed us to keep our luggage for two days when we travelled to Sheki for two days.Couldnt ask for better service.
And the plus point was that the hotel is very close to Nizami street.

What could be improved: I don't think there was anything I didn't like

  • Great location and very kind staff, made for a wonderful stay – Zawj from Malaysia – 26 February 2025 (10/10)

Our stay at Boutique Hotel Baku began with a warm welcome from the front desk staff, who graciously accommodated our early check-in and included breakfast. While simple, the breakfast was satisfying. Our room was spacious, clean, and quiet, and the hotel's location proved ideal – peaceful yet conveniently situated for accessing Baku's main attractions

What could be improved: Breakfast could be improved with a wider variety of options

  • Very good – Majid from United Arab Emirates – 30 January 2025 (8/10)

Clean, friendly staff, very central location

What could be improved: Amenities were a little dated, some linens were old and with holes in them.

  • Just wow hotel – Muhammad from Pakistan – 20 January 2025 (10/10)

Excellent property , good location and very neat and clean , their staff specially asfandar is very helpful throughout our stay

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Good hotel neat & clean, near to all tourist spots – Ankita from India – 6 January 2025 (8/10)

Very clean and very apt location to feel the beauty of Baku & walk in Nizami street old Baku. Well maintained rooms clean & heated washroom floors

What could be improved: Somehow felt the staff was a bit unfair towards Indians. Agree or not there is definitely some racism they do not talk properly
