When you first pull up to Mikayıl Müşfiq street in Yasamal – which, by the way, is this perfectly positioned spot that’s not quite downtown chaos but still close enough to everything – the building has this solid, unpretentious vibe that immediately put me at ease. The thing about Baku is that location really makes or breaks your stay, and whoever picked this spot knew what they were doing. You’re actually in a neighborhood where real people live and work, not some tourist bubble, which I personally love. I could walk to decent restaurants without dealing with the Old City crowds, and honestly, the morning sounds from the street below were just normal city life – not construction or late-night partying that keeps you up. The rooms themselves feel like they were designed by someone who actually travels, if that makes sense. Everything’s where you’d expect it to be, the WiFi works properly (trust me, this isn’t always a given in Baku), and the beds are genuinely comfortable – not that firm-as-concrete thing some hotels think passes for “European style.”

What really won me over, though, was how the staff handled things. Check-in was smooth without being overly formal, and when I asked about getting around the city, they gave me actual useful advice instead of just pointing to the concierge desk. The breakfast situation is solid too – they’ve got the usual international stuff but also some proper local options that don’t feel like afterthoughts. I mean, you’re in Azerbaijan, you should be able to get decent bread and cheese that tastes like it belongs here. The whole place just runs well without making a big show of it, which honestly reflects in that 8.8 rating they’ve got – that’s the kind of score you see when a place consistently delivers without drama. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels reliable and comfortable in Baku without breaking the bank or dealing with pretentious service, this is your spot. It’s not going to change your life, but it’ll give you a proper base to explore the city from, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

  I had a very pleasant and satisfying experience at Badamdar Hotel & Residence. The overall ambiance, service quality, and comfort level were excellent.

  Situated slightly away from the city center, it offers a quiet, relaxing atmosphere with great views.

  Excellent hotel and service, although more stufe should speak English better. The rooms are clean. The selection of dishes at breakfast is good, but mostly repeated. The indoor pool is a great way to finish the day, as is relaxing in the spa. The location is a little further from the center, but you can get to the center by Bolt for a few $. There is an ATM in the lobby where you can exchange both € and $

  The staff were very helpful. The amenities were that of a 5 star hotel – I don’t think I’ve seen such extensive amenities before, regardless of you end up using them or not, that was impressive.
  
  What could be improved: The rooms are a bit old but it was our favorite stay in Baku. It’s about a 15 min drive to old city.
