The Sabayil district has really come alive in recent years, honestly – there are these great little cafes popping up, and you’re close to the boulevard along the Caspian where people go for evening walks. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving, like everywhere in central Baku, but there’s usually street parking if you don’t mind walking a block or two. The building itself is well-maintained, which isn’t always a given around here, and the entrance feels secure without being intimidating. I’d definitely stay here again – it strikes that perfect balance between being in the middle of everything but still feeling like you have your own quiet space to retreat to after a day of exploring the city.
