That’s what’s happening here.

The apartment itself is… well, it’s functional. I mean that in the best way possible, actually. The space feels bigger than typical European hotel rooms, and there’s something refreshing about having a proper kitchen if you want to grab some fresh pomegranates from the local bazaar (there’s a decent one about ten minutes away on foot). The furnishing is modern enough, though you can tell they went for practical over luxurious – which honestly makes sense given the price point. What really surprised me was how quiet it gets at night, considering you’re right in the city. The windows are decent quality, and Yusif Səfərov isn’t exactly a main thoroughfare anyway, so you won’t have trucks rumbling by at 3 AM. The building’s entrance feels secure too, with proper key card access – something I wasn’t totally expecting.

Here’s the thing though – and this might matter depending on what kind of traveler you are – the service feels pretty hands-off. It’s more like staying in someone’s well-maintained apartment than a traditional hotel experience. There’s no concierge hovering around to help with restaurant recommendations (though honestly, just walk toward Fountain Square and you’ll find plenty of options). The 7-out-of-10 rating makes total sense to me because it delivers exactly what it promises without any real surprises, good or bad. If you’re the type who wants to explore Baku independently and just needs a clean, comfortable base with working WiFi and a functioning shower, this works really well. The location puts you within walking distance of most of the stuff you’d actually want to see – the Flame Towers are visible from some windows, which is pretty cool at night when they’re doing their light show thing. Just don’t expect anyone to bring you fresh towels every day or recommend the best plov in town.

  للأسف، واجهت عدة مشكلات خلال إقامتي:
  
  1.نظافة الشقة : لم تكن الشقة نظيفة عند الوصول، مما أثر سلبًا على انطباعي العام.
  
  2.راحة المفرش: كان المفرش قديمة جدا وعمرها الافتراضي منتهي و السرير غير مريح، مما جعل النوم صعبًا جداً
  
  3.خدمة الإنترنت: لم يكن هناك اتصال بالإنترنت إلا بعد يوم من السكن وهو أمر كان ضروريًا بالنسبة لي.
  
  4.عدم تعاون صاحب الشقة: حاولت التواصل مع صاحب الشقة لحل هذه المشكلات، لكنه لم يتعاون ولم يقدم أي حلول، مما زاد من خيبة أملي
  
  5. ⁠ولم تكون الخزان الملابس نظيف وكانت بيها بعض الأغراض لأصاحب الشقة مثل من ورق جدران وبعض السجاد القديم وكانت رائحة سيئة جدا
  
  6. ⁠والحمام كان فيه بعض التسربات الماء مثل الشطاف الماء ومكان اخذ السبوح بعض في تسريبات ماء
  
  7. ⁠والمطبخ بعض الأواني القديم والقذره جدا والثلاجة فيها رائحة كريهة جدا
