Villa OHO Overview

You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Villa OHO in Buzovna – I mean, it’s about 30 minutes northeast of central Baku, and honestly, the area feels more residential than resort-y at first glance. But then you walk through those doors and it hits you that this place is actually doing something pretty special out here on the Absheron Peninsula.

The thing about Villa OHO is that it sits in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to hear the Caspian Sea (literally a few minutes’ walk), but far enough from Baku’s hustle that you can actually think clearly. Buzovna itself is one of those neighborhoods that locals know but tourists usually skip – which is exactly why this works so well. The staff genuinely seems surprised and delighted when international guests show up, and they’ll go out of their way to explain things like where to catch the best sunset views or which local spots serve proper Azerbaijani breakfast. The rooms are what you’d expect from a legit 5-star place, but it’s the small stuff that gets you – like how they’ve managed to soundproof everything so well that you forget you’re near a main road, or the way the bathrooms actually have water pressure that doesn’t quit halfway through your shower.

What really sold me on this place, though, is how it feels lived-in rather than showroom-perfect. The common areas have this relaxed energy where you’ll find a mix of Baku business people having extended dinners and the occasional expat family treating it like their weekend escape. Check-in was refreshingly smooth – none of that standing around while they “find your reservation” nonsense – and parking is actually abundant, which anyone who’s driven around Baku will tell you is basically a miracle. The restaurant surprised me too; I was prepared for standard hotel food, but they’re clearly working with local suppliers because the produce tastes like it was picked yesterday. Fair warning though – if you’re the type who needs to be walking distance from nightlife and shopping, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want to experience what Azerbaijan feels like when it’s not performing for tourists, and you don’t mind a quick taxi ride when you want to hit up Baku proper, Villa OHO delivers something that’s getting harder to find: genuine hospitality without the corporate polish that makes every hotel feel identical.

  Hotel is cozy, spacious, clean, well equipped with amazing sea view and access to the sea.
  It is exceed our expectation, their food really delicious.
  
  It is really a wonderful place to stay snd chill. The location, the property as well as the hosts were amazing, especially the owner was a very kind, and humble soul. I'd genuinely recommend everyone to stay here and we would definitely stay there again.

  The staff were very helpful and friendly and kind to my pre-schooler.
  Breakfast is so good.

  What could be improved: The steps down to the beach were slightly precarious.
  Maybe premium products could be used in the bathroom?
  There is not much in the local area. We walked to the Seaside Restaurant one night. You can walk there on the beach but your feet will get wet due to the streams. Or you can walk 10 minutes along the road but my dad did not feel safe walking that way.
  The pool inside had a very slippy floor and was cold.

  Great location to explore Absheron while avoiding the Baku hustle, quiet place, nice people, tasty food, clean room, close beach with clear waters, beautiful pool – definitely to recommend!

  Location was good near the seaside.
  
  What could be improved: There was a sensor in the bedroom and in the bathroom which is a violation of personal rights and privacy. This censor can be used as a camera as well. Which is a huge minus for me for the hotel.

  What could be improved: After touring Baku we were looking for a beach break and found Villa Oho on Booking.com
  This is a 5 Star Villa/Hotel at reasonable prices
  All the rooms are excellent as we were shown 4 types
  We opted for the pool view room as it opened directly to the pool
  Our friends picked up stairs rooms and were equally impressed
  Its brand new so everything is in pristine condition
  We ate dinner here every night as the menu was extensive and fairly priced
  What makes this place special is the staff
  They will go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay,whether its outdoor breakfasts or drinks upstairs nothing is too much trouble
  A big thanks to Sevinj and (orhan ?) who made us feel at home and looked aftervus so well 🙏
