But stepping through those doors completely changed my perspective. The lobby hits you with this perfect balance of modern Azerbaijani style and international comfort that actually works, unlike some hotels that try too hard to blend cultures and end up looking confused. What really caught my attention was how the staff genuinely seemed to know their stuff about the city – not just the tourist spots, but where to grab proper plov at 2 AM or which marshrutka route gets you to the Old City without the usual traffic nightmare around Fountain Square.

The location is honestly brilliant, though it took me a day to fully appreciate it. You’re right in Sabayil district, which means you can walk to the Flame Towers (yeah, those iconic ones everyone posts on Instagram) in about fifteen minutes, but you’re also close enough to hear the Caspian Sea if you crack open your window at night. I mean, the sound isn’t overwhelming – it’s actually pretty soothing once you get used to it. The rooms themselves are what I’d call thoughtfully designed rather than flashy. The beds are legitimately comfortable (I’m picky about this), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re living in a shoebox. The bathroom situation deserves a mention too – good water pressure, which anyone who’s traveled in this region knows isn’t always guaranteed.

What really sets this place apart is the small details that suggest someone actually thinks about what travelers need. The Wi-Fi works properly throughout the building, not just in the lobby like some places. There’s a proper business corner if you need to print boarding passes or maps, and the breakfast – well, it’s not just continental hotel fare. They do this thing where they mix international options with local specialties, so you can try qutab alongside your usual morning coffee. The 9.2 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Baku, but it delivers on everything that actually matters when you’re exploring the city. Plus, the neighborhood comes alive in the evenings with locals heading to cafes and small restaurants, giving you that authentic feeling of being somewhere real rather than just another tourist bubble.

  Great location right in the city center. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable, with a kitchen, washing machine, and fridge — very convenient. Although the lack of an elevator was a minor inconvenience, the friendly and helpful staff made our stay truly enjoyable.

  Amazing location, really nice team, clean and fresh rooms. The hotel is new, in a middle of the everything, but on the top floor and it is good, because nothing disturbs you. Hotel provided transfer for nice price.

  The stay was almost perfect. The staff was very responsive before arrival, helpful and almost foreseeing our needs. The room was exceeding our expectations, it was big and comfy with perfect view of the flaming towers. Everything was new and clean. Wifi was good. Location of the hotel on Nizami street in the heart of Baku is ideal.
  
  What could be improved: Be prepared to climb a lot of stairs to reach the hotel. It may be challenging for people with limited mobility. For us going up and down was just a good training.

  Great hotel, wonderful room. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had great time in Azerbaijan. 24hour reception made checking in and out at weird times easy. The hotel is located on a high floor, which means that it is really quiet despite being so central.
