You know what struck me first about Sweet Home in the Center? The name actually makes sense – and I mean that in the best way possible. When I walked into apartment 9 on the third floor of this Nasimi district building, it genuinely felt like stepping into someone’s thoughtfully curated home rather than another sterile hotel room.

The location on Ulitsa D. Alieva is honestly perfect if you want to experience Baku like a local. You’re literally a ten-minute walk from the Flame Towers (though honestly, you can see them from some of the windows), and the Nasimi area has this great energy where you’ve got proper neighborhoods mixed with cafes that locals actually frequent. I loved that I could grab fresh bread from the corner bakery every morning – the smell of it would drift up through the building’s windows around 7 AM, which was way better than any alarm clock. The building itself is solid, well-maintained, and surprisingly quiet considering you’re in the heart of the city. Parking was straightforward too, which… well, if you’ve driven in Baku, you know that’s not always a given.

What really sets this place apart is the attention to detail that feels genuinely personal. The owner clearly lives here part-time or has family who does – there are books in multiple languages, local art on the walls, and the kitchen is actually stocked with quality cookware (not those flimsy hotel pans that drive you crazy). The Wi-Fi is solid, the shower pressure is excellent, and the air conditioning works without sounding like a jet engine. I stayed during late spring when Baku can get pretty warm, and the apartment stayed comfortable without cranking the AC constantly. Check-in was smooth – the owner met me personally and gave me genuinely helpful recommendations, including a fantastic plov place about three blocks away that I never would have found otherwise. The whole experience felt more like staying with a knowledgeable friend than checking into a typical accommodation. If you’re the type of traveler who wants to feel connected to the city rather than isolated from it, this is your spot.

  Я отдыхала с сестрой, старшей дочерью и племянником. Нам всем всё очень понравилось. Хорошее расположение квартиры: 10 минут ходьбы и на набережной, мы пешком ходили до старого города, рядом торговый центр, магазины, кафе, парк с фонтанами. В квартире чисто, уютно, красиво, есть всё необходимое. Большая благодарность хозяйке квартиры, очень доброжелательная и приятная женщина, с пониманием относилась на наши пожелания, давала советы.
