Honestly, when I first pulled up to Space apartment on Alekperov street, I wasn’t sure what to expect – the name’s a bit quirky, right? But this little gem in Yasamal turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled onto something the guidebooks haven’t caught up with yet. The building itself is pretty typical for this part of Baku, but step inside and there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the details here.

What really struck me was how thoughtfully everything’s been put together. I mean, you know how some places feel like they bought everything in bulk from the same hotel supply catalog? Not here. The apartments have this lived-in quality – not shabby, just… real. The kitchen actually has proper cookware (shocking, I know), and the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every time someone in the next room opens their laptop. The beds are genuinely comfortable too, which honestly surprised me given that this is technically a 3-star place. I’ve stayed in supposedly fancier hotels where I woke up feeling like I’d been sleeping on cardboard.

Location-wise, you’re sitting pretty in Yasamal, which locals will tell you is one of the better residential areas if you want to feel like you’re actually living in Baku rather than just passing through. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the old city if you’re up for it, or you can grab one of those shared taxis that cruise around – the drivers usually know the street. There’s a decent bakery just around the corner that opens early (trust me on this one), and you’re close enough to the Caspian waterfront that you can actually walk there for sunset without it being a whole expedition. The neighborhood gets pretty quiet after dark, which some people love and others find a bit too peaceful – depends what you’re after, I suppose. Parking can be a bit of an adventure during the day, but that’s just Baku for you. The whole experience feels more like staying at a friend’s place than checking into a hotel, and given that 9.8 rating, I’m clearly not the only one who appreciates that approach.

  Flat is same as shown in picture. It's neat , clean n cozy. Building is bit old though but flat is gud to stay wid family n is well equipped with basic amenities. The host Ms. Elvina was very warm n gem of a person apart from d apartment she helped us before my arrival to get to d flat n also to online book train tickets to ganja as well shared all d required info as I was travelling wid my family during cop 29 n hotel rooms wer all overbooked.
  She n her husband were a great host n she was always der to guide us during our stay der. Location is superb just a km away 5 min drive to reach nizami square n it has super market n food eateries near by.
  
  What could be improved: Flat is on d top floor wid no lift. We had less luggage so didn't face issue.
