You’re right in the heart of one of Baku’s most lived-in neighborhoods, where you’ll hear the morning call to prayer mixing with the sounds of kids heading to school and old men playing backgammon in the courtyard next door.

The apartment itself is what I’d call “properly done” – you know what I mean? The kind of place where someone actually thought about how people live, not just how it looks in photos. The kitchen has real counter space (thank god), and the bed is one of those that’s firm enough that you don’t wake up feeling like you wrestled with it all night. What really got me was the bathroom – honestly, better water pressure than some five-star places I’ve been to in the city center. The Wi-Fi actually works too, which… well, if you’ve traveled much in this part of the world, you know that’s not always a given. I spent a few evenings working from the little balcony area, watching the neighborhood wind down for the day while the Caspian breeze rolled in.

Here’s the thing about the location that booking sites won’t tell you – you’re maybe a fifteen-minute walk from Fountains Square, but without all the tourist chaos right outside your door. There’s this little bakery two blocks down where the bread comes out warm around 7 AM, and the guy running it speaks decent English if you need directions. The 7.9 rating makes sense to me because it’s not trying to be something it’s not. It’s a solid, comfortable base that lets you experience Baku like someone who lives here, not just passes through. The check-in was smooth (they actually answered their phone when I called from the airport), and when the hot water went weird one morning, they had someone there within an hour. I mean, these are the details that matter when you’re actually staying somewhere, right? If you’re the type who wants marble everything and a concierge, this isn’t your spot. But if you want a genuinely comfortable place where you can spread out your stuff, cook a meal if you want to, and feel like you’re staying in a real neighborhood rather than some tourist bubble – honestly, you could do a lot worse than this place.

  Я хочу оценить квартиру, но, к сожалению, не ту, что представлена на фото.
  Да, это суровая реальность половины апартаментов в Баку. Фото одни – по факту Апарты другие. Забронировала сначала одну квартиру, написала хозяину, сказал, что этой квартиры нет. Нашла на букинге другую квартиру – забронировала ее, написала хозяину, по факту этой квартиры тоже нет и попала на этого же хозяина. В итоге, мне предложили другие варианты и уже я выбрала из того, что есть.
  Оцениваю квартиру по адресу: 119 Uzeyir Hacibeyov. Вид из квартиры – просто шикарный, налюбоваться не могли, квартира чистая, полотенец и постельного белья хватало. Есть все необходимые предметы – фен, утюг, ванные принадлежности. Парень, который приезжал за деньгами дружелюбный, со всем помог. Залог не взяли.
  
  What could be improved: Не нравится то, что ты часами тратишь на поиск квартиры и прочтение отзывов, а по факту, после бронирования, тебе скидывают реальные варианты, которые есть на данный момент.
  Просто хочу, чтобы вы не попали в мою ситуацию. После брони – обязательно связывайтесь по контактному номеру и уточняйте, где вы реально жить.
