Premier Palace Baku Overview

You know what really struck me about Premier Palace Baku? It’s got this understated elegance that doesn’t try too hard – which honestly, is refreshing in a city where some hotels can feel a bit flashy for the sake of it. The location on Həsən Əliyev Street is actually pretty smart when you think about it. You’re in Nasimi district, which means you’re close enough to the action without being stuck in the thick of tourist crowds every time you step outside.

The building itself has this modern facade that somehow doesn’t clash with Baku’s eclectic architectural mix (and trust me, that’s saying something in this city). Check-in was surprisingly smooth – I mean, I’ve stayed at plenty of 4-star places where you’re standing around for twenty minutes while they figure things out, but these folks had their act together. The lobby has decent natural light, which is something I always notice because so many hotels here feel like they’re designed for eternal twilight. The staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood well, which is rarer than you’d think – they pointed me toward a local tea house that wasn’t in any guidebook but ended up being one of my favorite discoveries.

What really sold me on the place was how it handles the practical stuff without making a big deal about it. The rooms are well-insulated, which matters more than you might realize when you’re near busy streets in Baku. I slept well, even though I’m usually sensitive to city noise. The internet actually works consistently (again, not always a given), and there’s proper water pressure in the shower – small things that make a huge difference when you’re dealing with jet lag or long days exploring the Old City. The breakfast setup is solid without being overwhelming, and they seem to source decent local ingredients rather than just going with generic hotel supplier stuff. Honestly, the 8.4 rating makes sense to me – it’s the kind of place that does what it promises well, without trying to be something it’s not. If you’re looking for a reliable base in Baku where you can actually rest properly and the staff won’t give you blank stares when you ask about local recommendations, this place delivers. It’s not going to blow your mind, but it’ll take care of you properly while you explore everything this fascinating city has to offer.

  • Decent hotel with a nice spa – Anna from Austria – 27 December 2023 (8/10)

Very nice place with spacious rooms and spa

What could be improved: Breakfast could be better, there was no joghurt, no coffee machine for a coffee, constantly no cups, food missing and you need to wait for it. Cold in the room as there is no heating, just air conditioning. Hotel is not in the center and you need to call taxi all the time

  • Very good – Javaid from United Arab Emirates – 12 August 2023 (8/10)

The location was good with supermarkets n restaurants quite close at a walking distance. I give high emphasis to staff dealings/ behaviour, and at this hotel, staff was super nice.
I would especially like to name Mr Javaid, who treated us very warmly. He brought flowers and a cake to mark our wedding anniversary.

Mr Tural was another kind and helping person. He is always there to answer your queries.

I would also like to mention the name of a housekeeping staff miss Narmeena. She is extremely hardworking n polite lady, ever ready to make your stay comfortable.

What could be improved: Swimming pool was small n not really clean. I didn't feel like using it even once seeing the colour of water in it.
BREAKFAST was quite Conservative. Should have more seasonal fruits. Fruits are not expensive in Baku, so I suggest have them available on breakfast.
As a whole it was ok, I will give it a 3 out of 5.
