I mean, it’s definitely got that 4-star polish – the lobby smells like subtle vanilla and cedar, not that overwhelming floral stuff some hotels pump in – but the staff doesn’t make you feel like you need to whisper or tuck in your shirt. The pool area (which, okay, the name makes total sense now) is genuinely spectacular, especially in the evenings when they light it up and you can see the Caspian in the distance. During summer months it gets pretty busy around 2-3 PM with families, but early mornings are perfect if you want that Instagram shot without random kids photobombing.

You know what really sealed the deal for me though? The little details that show someone’s actually thinking about guest experience. The room keys work consistently – sounds basic, but you’d be surprised how many places mess this up. Parking is straightforward and free, which in Baku is honestly a blessing. The Wi-Fi actually reaches the pool area with decent speed, so you can work remotely if needed without hiding in your room. And here’s something I appreciated – they keep the AC running in common areas without making it feel like an arctic wasteland, perfect for those sweltering July afternoons. The breakfast setup runs until 10:30 AM (not the usual 10 AM cutoff that punishes anyone who wants to sleep in), and they’ve got proper coffee, not just instant packets. That 9.3 rating isn’t just inflated review padding – guests genuinely seem happy here, and after spending a few days, I get why. It’s one of those places where everything just… works, without trying too hard to impress you.
