Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Park Azure Suite by Bakuapart on Bravo Street – the name alone had me wondering what I was getting into. But you know what? Sometimes the places with the quirkiest names end up surprising you the most. This 4-star spot sits in one of those neighborhoods where you feel like you’re actually staying in Baku rather than some touristy bubble, and I mean that in the best possible way.

The suite itself is what really sold me though. We’re talking proper apartment-style living here, not just a hotel room with a mini-fridge shoved in the corner. The kitchen actually has counter space (revolutionary concept, I know), and the living area doesn’t feel like an afterthought. The beds are surprisingly comfortable – I’m usually tossing and turning the first night in any new place, but slept like a baby here. What really caught my attention were the little touches that most places skip: decent water pressure in the shower, blackout curtains that actually block light, and – this might sound weird – but the Wi-Fi reaches every corner of the room without cutting out every five minutes.

Location-wise, you’re about a fifteen-minute walk from the Old City if you’re up for it, or there’s usually taxis cruising Bravo Street if your feet aren’t cooperating. I actually loved being slightly off the main tourist drag because you get a better sense of how the city actually works. There’s a decent bakery two blocks down that locals hit up for morning pastries (way better than hotel breakfast, just saying), and the evening crowd on the street gives you that authentic Baku vibe without feeling overwhelming. The staff speaks solid English, which honestly saved me more than once when I was trying to figure out the best route to Flame Towers or where to grab dinner that wasn’t completely touristy. Check-in was smooth – no standing around for twenty minutes while they “find your reservation” – and they actually seemed to care about making sure I knew my way around the neighborhood rather than just handing over keys and disappearing.

  Nice cozy apartment. The host was cooperative. I liked staying in the apartment.
  
  What could be improved: The security guards does not speak English. Quite hard for delivery drivers to come up to deliver food.
