Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Park Azure Residence on Afiyeddin Celilov street, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. The address sounds pretty formal, but it’s actually tucked into this surprisingly quiet residential area that feels worlds away from the chaos of central Baku. You know what struck me first? How the building actually lives up to its name – there’s this subtle blue-tinted glass that catches the Caspian light in the morning, and it genuinely does feel like you’re staying in someone’s well-appointed home rather than a typical hotel.

The thing about this place is that it gets the small stuff right in ways that bigger hotels often miss. I mean, checking into apartment 53 felt more like a friend handing you their spare keys than that sterile front-desk experience you usually get. The 4-star rating feels accurate – it’s not trying to be the Four Seasons, but everything works properly and there’s this attention to detail that you notice after a day or two. The Wi-Fi actually reaches every corner (trust me, I tested it), the water pressure is solid, and – this might sound weird – but the windows seal properly, so you’re not dealing with that annoying Baku wind whistling through gaps at night.

What really won me over was the location, though you’d never guess it from just looking at the address. You’re maybe a 15-minute walk to some of Baku’s better local restaurants (the kind where you won’t find other tourists), and there’s this little market two streets over where you can grab actual groceries if you want to use the kitchenette. The neighborhood has that lived-in feel – kids playing in courtyards, older folks sitting on benches in the evenings, that sort of thing. It’s authentic without being rough around the edges. Parking wasn’t the nightmare I’d prepared for either, which honestly surprised me given how tight some of these residential streets can be.

The 7.9 rating seems about right – it’s the kind of place that grows on you rather than hitting you with immediate wow factor. There are tiny quirks, like the elevator that takes its sweet time and the fact that the apartment numbering system follows some logic that probably made sense to someone once upon a time. But you adapt quickly, and by day three I was defending the slow elevator to my travel companion because it gave us time to actually have conversations instead of rushing everywhere.

If you’re the type who needs a concierge and room service, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want to feel like you’re actually staying in Baku rather than just passing through it – and you appreciate having a proper kitchen and space to spread out your stuff – Park Azure Residence hits that sweet spot between comfort and authenticity that’s getting harder to find these days.

  The apartment was sooper good..Mr.Rashad was really helpful.I even extended my stay..Unfortunately couldn't get the same apartment as it was booked. But Rashad gave a much better apartment in the same building..The second apartment didn't have a frying pan.. Just one call to Rashad and he immediately arranged a new frying pan for us..Such a lovely host..There is KFC and pizza hut on the next building and Bravo supermarket just a few steps..

  1) It’s very clear, spacious and cozy apartments. 2) Manager of owner was in touch, polite and helped a lot with different questions.
  3) We were worried that we would given the wrong Appartment (because there were such information in one of the reviews we read) but apartment is fully corresponds photos and descriptions.
  4) Jacuzzi (hydromassage bath) is in good condition.
  
  What could be improved: 1. Curtains in the bedroom should be completely blackout.
  2. Some lamps in apartments and bedrooms have a light accumulation effect and glow at night even if the switch is turned off. It was a little disturbing. It is better to either remove these lamps or add instructions on how to turn them off.
  
  All of these are not critical but it will be better to improve.

  The location is perfect. The accommadations were exactly as you see in the photos. We felt very safe in this area, there is a security and entrance is only available for residents. Free parking is no where to be found, but that is what it is like everywhere in Baku. There is parking underground in the building and it costs 20 manat for 24 hr parking. We had to pay cash for the accommodations as they did not take credit cards or k net. Make sure you have cash with you to pay. Overall, the place was clean, comfortable, big, and located in a great part of the city. There is a grocery store walking distance from the flat as well. Our family enjoyed this place.
